So, for the first time in over 30 years, they had to cancel school here in Fairbanks, AK. . . for 3 days. (they won't even cancel school if its -50 out!)
We had freezing rain for 3 days before thanksgiving. Roads got really nasty, several school buses went off the road before they called off school.
Temps were about 35 above .. some places got over 1 inch of ice buildup.
Now, less than a week later, we are nasty cold ... -30!
Which is actually much more normal than the +35 it was last week.
Still ... that is a 60 degree difference in less than a week!
It really has been a crazy winter so far... I didn't have to dig out my boots or heavy coat until just recently .. We have had very above average temps until now. Anyone else having crazy winter weather?
