Hi folks!

Just a fun topic to discuss. Did you all play clapping games when you were growing up?

Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's we had a bunch. Do kids still do this sort of thing at recess? I wonder if the same songs are around.

We had "Apples, peaches, pears and plums, jump in when your birthday comes. January, February, March...etc." So many good ones.

We also had a bunch of little rhymes to pick who was "it" when playing tag or to see who was first or second "ender" when skipping. My favorite was "inky pinky ponky, daddy bought a donkey, donkey died, daddy ccried, inky pinky ponky."

What did you all sing?

I used to point at girls playing clapping games and laugh. :rotfl2:

I'm sorry if you ever fell victim to this. :lmao:

We do, too! and while initially people look at like we're strange, eventually we get the girls in front of us and behind us to join in.
