ok, who else is getting SOOOOOOO excited for the holidays....?? :thewave:
I'm just about done shopping too!!

ps--I wish we had a Santa Mickey smile to use here...!!!! (Santa and Mickey....does it get any better than that? :rotfl: )

mEEEEEEEEEEEEE :cool1: I love Christmas and all the fun it brings.

I did a mass shopping yesterday when I found out the doc scheduled my hubbys hip surgery for this wednesday. This will put him out of commission for 6 weeks. So with work, taking care of him, my sons indoor baseball league, baking, and all the regular stuff we do I was feeling like the shopping needed to get done . I hit...JCPenney (used a coupon), Pier1 (got martini set 50% off), Toys RUS to use my $50 in gift cards I had accumulated, Sears for tools for my daughters boyfriend (scored here too...on sale!), World Market (stocking stuffers for the DD's) Linens and More (nothing :guilty: ) then back to Pier 1 for a coworkers gift, Lane Bryant, NYand Co., Yankee Candle, Bath and Body, then to the grocery for Thanksgiving dinner items and finally home.....phew....what a day! But I got great sales, I only have a few tiny little items to buy....main people are done. Thank heavens! Now bring on the holidays!!!! woo hoo! :teeth: :teeth:

:worship: Wow!! I'm impressed!!!!!! Are you going out on Friday too?? (Even though I'm just about done, I still HAVE to go out on Black Friday...maybe I'll find something for ME! :rotfl2: ) Good luck to your hubby! (and to YOU for having to do everything afterwards!!) :teeth:

I love the holidays! We have made a conscious effort to focus on the fun and family rather than the craziness...but that leads us to so many things to do as the kids are involved in a lot of things that are fun.

I did manage to get all of the baking done over the weekend and since I have a really small group (us and DH's mom) on Thursday I am thinking about getting the boxes out of the attic Wednesday evening, stacking them in the office and working on them Friday more than usual. DS is my outdoor light assistant but he is scheduled to work on a show Friday so I'm rearranging.

Besides all the traditional holiday events my favorite part is to get the house decorated and when we are home just enjoy it. I'm hardly EVER in the family room (downstairs) this time of year as I'd rather be in the living room (upstairs) where we do the big decorating!

Me! Me! Me! Me!

We had an unplanned December trip to WDW suddenly pop up, as DH realized he has not used up conference time (and funds) for the year. So we're going for a week in December! Couldn't be more excited too!

I am excited! I am just so glad we got the kids all done and shopped for. Found out today hubby may be laid off for 3 weeks in December :( So at least the kids will still have a good Christmas.

I just love the holidays :)

Honestly, I want to decorate so bad right now I can't stand it! But I'm making myself wait till after Thanksgiving, at least for the big stuff. I'm thinking of setting up my HUGE collection of snowmen today when ds gets home to help me get things down from the attic. I have so much stuff that I can't possibly do it all in one day so I have to decorate in stages. I do the yard, the tree, the snowmen, two villages, the bathroom, the kitchen... I can get really carried away if I don't get control of myself!

Cobbler - that's a major bummer about your dh. Hope things work out better than you expect.

Merry Christmas everybody!
