Plus then we would also go back to Six Flags Magic Mountain to ride the new coasters they are building there at the moment.

That's on my list to do at christmas :thumbsup2

I'm aiming to get to DL, DCA, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal and Magic Mountain in just over a week (flying out saturday, flying back saturday night).

I was torn on the idea of seas world, but decided I'd rather leave that for a future trip (2011 or so maybe) as what I have planned now is comfortable enough for 1 week (5 work holiday days), where as I'd have to go to 6 days away from work to fit in sea world, or lose a Disney day which I don't fancy doing.

I want to go back to Disneyland after 2013 once California Adventure has been remodelled and the park is up and running as they want it to be

I've just been reading about this, it sound like it would be worth waiting for- not that I could see us going anytime before 2013

How much time would we need to do the Disney Parks?

We did 5 nights at the Grand Californian, we did 3 full days in the parks and 2 half days. Plus we spent 1 day at Knotts Berry farm. We also went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, but we spent 2 nights there (one full park day and 2 half park days.) We went to Universal Hollywood too (highly recommend the VIP tour), but we did that during our 3 night stay in Hollywood (we did all the studio tours there too). We didn't do sea world as we went there on a trip to San Diego a few years earlier.

I felt that 4 park days in the Disney parks was perfect. We splurged and hired a VIP tour guide for one day, it was amazing and although expensive we felt for a 1st visit and a special treat it was worth the money.

A few Animal Kingdom Lodge videos here

I'd love to stay here. We went to a meal at Boma's last trip and I loved looking around, the CMs are so friendly and will spend ages discussing the animals. It's got one of the nicest gift shops too, loads of African things to buy.

If my numbers ever come up I'll be buying into here so fast ........... :lmao:

I dont believe you :rolleyes1

You know I would never, ever lie to you Fay...... :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I'm currently watching a dress that I want like a hawk..... I shall strike when I feel it is right!

Good Morning Everyone btw!

Me too!! And it's heartbreaking when you get the e-mail and no one else bid on it!

I think you are going to love the Animal Kingdom Lodge Torsie, i have been looking at pics and it's wonderful.
I am very very tempted to book one night here whilst we are in WDW, we are staying at POR but it i don't think it would be too much of an upheaval to take enough stuff and move for one night. It's my Daughters 15th Birthday whilst we are there so i may well book it a a surprise. Just priced it up on the website and it's £137, it seems a lot but when you consider Alton Towers wanted £210 for one night in Splash Landings :scared1: well need i say anymore.!

How long are you going for?

I was only £440 to upgrade for the whole 2 weeks from POFQ! I just couldn't say 'no'!

I am soooooo excited! Eeeeeeee.

2 weeks, i really couldn't afford to upgrade us all though which is a shame, when i booked it we did consider AKL but it was just too expensive.
I could stretch and just stay one night though, to some that may seem silly but it would be lovely for my girls.
I am soooo thankful i have the free dining otherwise with the exchange rate as it is i would be in a panic now.

Fair enough. I have decided against DDP now, as I just don;t think we'll eat that much, and it would be a waste.

If i'd have gotten it free though it would be a very different story!!

Oh wow,:cool1:
My moonpig card just came that i got for my Daughter. I searched everywhere for a suitable surprise sort of card to give to her but i couldn't find one anywhere.
I went on Moonpig picked a card and then put a photo of the castle on the front with Surprise written at the top. It looks really really good. i plan to put her specially made luggage tag inside and give it to her the day before we go.

That is a good price to upgrade....

That is a good price to upgrade....
I thought so! :)

I know me though, in a few months when the £440 is all paid off and forgotten about, I'll be looking at prices thinking 'cor, thats good, it's only £500 to upgrade to the Poly!'.

But I'm so excited for AKL hopefully I won't get tempted to even look.....
