Yes - discworld 1 was the best one as well. I loved the Monkey Island games (same type of game as discworld but full of pirates and the like) just as much, if not more.

Monkey Island rules!! It's what got me and my brother so hooked on Pirates!

We still have a dream of buying a boat and moving to the Carribbean to become 'Pirates'

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you're having a nice day so far. I've had quite a good morning... been spending money lol. Bought a few more Xmas pressies and I've just put them away now. Have also written a list in case I forget what I've bought or where I've put them.

What a good idea. I'm always doing that.

Mind you our entire house it a disaster zone at the moment as we are having to clear out years worth of clutter to make space for new baby. Moved our entire bedroom round yesterday and took 4 black sacks of rubbish out of it

I try and de-clutter every month (or every 6 wks or so) and it's just the kids' stuff (paper, paper and more paper... and 'artwork') and a few bits & bobs and it doesn't take much effort at all to fill up one black sack! But it does make me feel so good though throwing stuff out. Means I can buy more stuff

I wish my rubbish laptop would allow to me play games like that on here. I tried to find Monkey Island to play ages ago only to find its not compatitable with this heap of junk.

We kept nearly everything so we don't really have anything to buy....but we have bought a few new up to 1 month clothes from M&S, a double buggy and a swinging crib. Other than that I think we are sorted

Monkey island is quite easy to get to play again compared to a lot of other games that age (the original MI is 18 years old now )

All you need is a copy of a program called ScummVM (free, legal download) and a legal copy of Monkey Island (harder to track down due to the games age).

ScummVM works on almost every system you can imagine, including Windows Vista I believe.

I also think ScummVM is able to play discworld so long as you have an original disc (not sure though).

That sounds like you're not talking about the original monkey island then. Then original is ancient and will run on almost anything you throw it at

It's not until Monkey Island 3 that you start requiring any sort of powerful PC.

Sounds lovely! I loved ballet when I was Kyra's age, I doubt I was any good at it but it was really good fun!

No, right now we are sticking to ballet lol.

Yeah she loves ballet, its just a trek to get there and now it gets dark earlier its scary walking home lol.
