just back from work. was trying to be really good but had subway for lunch. oh well there is always tomorrow.

I'm doing Slimming World at the moment...lost 20 lbs so far, over far too long, but a lady in my class has lost over 1 1/2 stone in 3 weeks!!!!

I might give it a try, i find it really difficult trying to do it by myself. Getting weighed each week might give me more motivation.

Listening to her, she is super-focussed. She loses weight quickly but then has trouble keeping it off. I just have trouble getting it off in the first place, but this time for some reason I am more determined. I'll be 40 in June and frankly it's bad enough being 40 without being fat as well.

they start off ok but once you have loaded everything on, not so much

hi guys..just off phone to NHS24 Joshuas temp has been in the 40s all day.... I have to take him up to the hospital in an hour if it doesn't go down! gave him nurofen and an ice pop..... hes had calpol all day and cool baths and I thought he was getting better for a whole of an hour

I hate him being ill, it scares me because I don't know what to do!

I am keeping everything crossed that his temperature comes down, i agree it is very scary when they get ill. I just feel so helpless.

he was til he saw us spiking it with calpol just before 7!lol...he just had an ice pop... he has ate coco pops and milk all day...not healthy but hey ho its all he will let pass his lips!

oh he just had some juice right now!!

Hi. Whenever this has happened with my lot, they are always OK as soon as I get to the GP or A&E. Hopefully Joshua will be the same. There's so much going round at the moment, but that's what hospitals are for. Trust your instincts.

Hope he gets better soon Katrina , Kyra is a lot better today having kept her away from pre-school for 2 days so i will be taking her back tomorrow despite the awful cough she has.

Me on the other hand feels like my head is going to explode.

Sometimes taking them to A&E helps you to feel like you've 'done' something. Also, it puts your mind at rest when you get patronised as some neurotic mother by a doctor. My friend had the paramedics to her daughter who had a temp of 40 - they gave her ventalin and she was as right as rain.
