OT - Chat Chat Away

OK, the MIL just phoned to check the details for us going over tomorrow evening. They host a village drop in at their house and I need to figure out what to wear. One of their friends is a Lady as she used to be the Queens lady in waiting and another friend is a Sir as he was a speaker in the house of Lords. What in the heck do I wear!! My inlaws were teachers BTW, they are just friends with them as they go to the village Church together where my FIL is the organist.

Smart/Casual leaning more towards smart is what I'd wear, if that makes sense!

I bought a new top and cardigan from Monsoon last week that I was going to wear on Christmas day with a pair of black trousers. That looks smart and well made. I think I will wear that. I always take my shoes off at my inlaws, so I guess I will just have to make sure I am wearing decent socks!!

Thanks, today wasn't too bad except when my friend & I turned up, the customer service desk looked like a bomb had hit it. I can't work in mess. Then one of my managers was moaning because we closed the desk at 8.45 when we finish at 9 but she doesn't understand its not just cashing up the till, it putting all the stuff back & sorting the paperwork out. To make it worse she ia the laziest manager I have ever known

we are heading to Chester zoo today- we do it almost every Christmas Eve.
A strange tradition I know but we really enjoy it.

We didnt go last year because we were getting ready for DLP and really missed it
