Right, I've decided I'm going to get properly organised now (Can you tell I've suddenly realised how much I have to do this year?!)..... If I go off-course someone shout at me!!

1- Finish Uni, graduate in June.
2- As soon as last Uni assignment is handed in- Start looking for full time employment (NO EXCUSES!).
3- As soon as full time employment is gained- Sort out buying a bleedin' house!
4- Move into said house.
5- Between now and Easter:

  • Book wedding officially (Go see Registrar, book the Gardens.)
  • Order Guestbook
  • Order Cake Topper
  • Buy all craft materials needed for making stationary
  • Buy a cake stand off Ebay (Important!)
  • Go speak to the nice lady in the chocolate shop about making a custom order of Petit Fours for the wedding cake
  • Speak to Mum's friend about Wedding Dress

After Easter:

  • Try and track down Green Ties
  • Sort out a Photographer and a Car
  • Go bridesmaid dress shopping
  • Go suit and shirt shopping

If I deviate at any time- Shoot me down, reign me in, whatever, just don't let me get caught up in making excuse after excuse!!! Lol! Everything else shall be fitted in around everything else! (Apologies for sharing the year plan with you all, but I'm more likely to stick to it if I talk about it!)....

Oh God, what have I done?!! I've bitten off more than I can chew this year! :headache:  :headache:

Bob, you can so do all this. I managed it!! I got engaged in my 4th year at uni (I did a post grad course) and managed to plan a wedding for a month after I graduated my post grad course and managed to buy a house and move into it the weekend that I had to move out of my uni accomodation (which was 2 hours away). Pete and I signed our house papers at a motorway service station half way between where I was doing my teaching course and where he was working at the time! Oh and I still live in that house 10 years later!

I had a friend who was a dress maker who made my wedding and bridesmaid dresses from my designs, my mum is a cake maker and she made the cakes, her friends daughter is a florist and she dis all the flowers for the church, me and the bridesmaids and my uncle played the Church organ. Oh and the 6th form choir at Petes school (who lived 2 1/2 hours away) sang in the service. Oh and luck would have it I saw Robbie Williams on my wedding day as he was staying in the hotel we had our reception at. My point being, you will get it planned, some things you won't, but it will all work out great in the end.

Not at all. You can do this. Once you graduate, the wedding stuff will be enjoyable. We booked our wedding in September, moved into our house in January, got married on April 3rd, bought a new car in June, had our first child in December. Easy.;)

Ah, but you're well balanced, calm controlled people.... I'm a gibbering wreck if I loose a pen!

I just told Robert how much our cake topper is going to cost for the wedding and he looked incredibly horrified! :lmao: I shouldn't laugh, but the forlorn look on his face made me laugh!

I'm sure it will be a lovely day once I get to it! :goodvibes

I just want to talk about the nice weddingy bits for now though! Lol! (Bugger, just remembered, also need to buy wedding rings at some point!)... Hmmmm... Anyone want to see the kind of Guestbook I'm hoping to order?!

I am never calm. I make lists, I lay awake worrying, I plan itineraries for everything and I want perfection but rarely achieve it. My wedding still came together in the end.:rotfl:

Oh I am far from calm (have you seen my Disney holiday file, yes file - as in ring binder with way too much detail - Pete and my friends who we go to WDW with call me the disney gestapo, no joke!) plus I am known as the organised one at work (much to my annoyance, I don't get how others can't figure paper work things out)

You have tackled the hardest part :thumbsup2 Once you set out what you have to do then I'm sure you will get it achieved :)

There may be some bends and twists along the road but we'll be here to support you :goodvibes

Nice quiet year for you then Bob :rotfl2:

Good luck with you plan :thumbsup2
