Just got some bad news - my gran has taken a bad turn so my Auntie and Uncle have been called to the nursing home ( she also has dementia) . My mum and dad have just set off now but they are supposed to be flying to Tenerife for a month with my other Auntie

Evening all. 8 kids in Louise's class are down with the pox. So, it's all a waiting game for us now. She managed to escape a couple of times when she was younger but I don't know, it might be a bit different in a classroom environment when everyone's in contact with everyone for most of the day. Plus 2 of them are her close buddies as well and they all play together. I think if she's gonna get it, she shd get it this weekend or early next week (they say 7-10 days, don't they?!). I'm just hoping it won't be at the end of half-term coz then, it'd mean another week off school .. then it'll be Adam's turn... and hubby hasn't had the pox.. ever! So I'm a bit worried for him as well coz they say it's worse when you get it as an adult. Plus I'm more concerned that he's going to be a nightmare patient compared to the kids

It's snowing here i know some of you are sick to death of it now but we have had hardly anything here yet so we are all excited.
It's not settling as it is too wet but fingers crossed there might be some in the morning.

Glad to hear future MIL's news, Bob. Hope Nikki's friend is okay. Sorry that you're left waiting for news Jackie.

My good news is that my sister's op went okay and that she is out of intensive care and back on a ward. The bad news is that she is in a lot of pain and has been told it will be another 2 or 3 months before she can return to work.

Small World - you're off tomorrow, aren't you? Hope you have fantastic time and that you really really enjoy DLH.

There is loads of snow here too, it seems to be melting though I dont think its cold enough.

I've had the worst day at work I am so stressed I was at work for 7:30 and didnt leave until 9:30pm

I think im going to postpone the cinema till next Tuesday which no doubt is going to upset Kyra when i tell her in the morning

We got snow. (Not just a little snow, LOADS)
School was closed at lunchtime so half a snow day. Took the kids sledging on the golf course which looked really pretty. They were sooo excited. DD2 said she had the 'best fun day ever', me I think I've got frost bite
