I signed up for Chacha about a week ago and was told I would receive an email on what to do next but don't have any email from them. Should I try to sign up again?

ChaCha isn't hiring right now, that is probably why you haven't heard anything.....they might get back to you when they are accepting guides again, or you could try again later when they are hiring again.

I still am not getting questions. It has been over a month now. I have the explicit and entertainment categories. I typed in every word imaginable. Still, I am only averaging 1 question per hour if I am lucky.
I accidentally left ChaCha on overnight, and I didn't get a single question!!!

What am I doing wrong? In these two categories, I have subcategories with single words like actress, actor, famous, big, largest, record, lyric, etc.

How come everyone else seems to be getting questions? I was averaging $300 a month on ChaCha until something happened.

It is not just you..... I am having the same luck..... like 1 question an hour for over a month. I use to make $1300 plus a month, and now I can't even get the $100 I need to get paid

You don't have enough categories. I have almost every cateegory completely populated and I am back to back in the evenings. During the day not as much but it is still steady.

And now ChaChas has these quick answers that pop up when expediting a question as well as quick answers that expeditors are suppose to use for conversational type questions. If an an expeditor sends a question to a guide "inappropriately" they get a QC.

I just logged on and the first two questions I have gotten (about one every 90 seconds) I answered without sending to a guide.

I only log on now when I am using the computer anyway. I no longer sit down just to ChaCha.

Categories didn't help me at all! I have 7 categories maxed out with keywords......and still nothing....occassionally I have a night where I am 1 to 2 minutes between queries, but for the most part I am like 1 query an hour.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one with the same problem. I went from being Top Guide each and every week, to now making only 10 cents a question.
It is extremely frustrating. I really believe that ChaCha can't afford to pay us.........

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone would mind answering a few questions about Cha Cha for me?

I am all registered and have to complete the second part of my training to become a guide. What is the average that you make a month? How many hours does it take to make it?
I would like to make 300-500 a month. Is that possible without working 24/7? Thanks!

I would like to make that much as well. Unfortunately, I used to always be a top guide and make 20 cents a question to making 10 cents a question and barely making $100 a month. The traffic for me has died down considerably and I am on the computer often.

I just switched to Pay Me Now. As soon as I get my debit card, I'll cash out. Then I won't have more than $50 or $100 in there at any one time, so I can be sure that I get paid.

Chacha "terminated" me about a month ago. Over the weekend, a check of my earnings showed up. Interestingly, it showed earnings of $90 then had about $40 taken out, leaving me with $50. Not sure what the $40 taken out was for? Any ideas?

If they thought you were gaming the system they may have deducted for the questions that were not correct. The only real way to know is to contact them.

They said that my QC ratings were too low and that I had been repeatedly warned-which is a joke, because I never got a single email from them. I admit I may not have not answered every question correctly, though not for lack of trying. Some questions are just not possible to answer.

I don't really care -I ended up putting my resources and energy into Ebay and it's paid off FAR better than Chacha ever could (with far less work) but I'd love to know what the $40 extra was taken out for.

for those of you having problems getting questions...you should really read the knowledge base and the forums. they are a wealth of information and may help explain why you are not getting anything. I can manage to make $50 a day but I use this as a full time job and really only work when I feel like it. I do not use this for bill money. This is our vacation fund, i want a new dining room set fund, our whatever money. But I make at least $200 a week. I know some are making more. You may have put your categories in wrong. You can't always max out the category. Sometimes it only takes one word. Sometimes it should be maxed out. There are instructions on what to do in the knowledgebase.

That is Horrible I hope you can figure out what the 40.00 was taken out for can you maybe Email them Directly

I agree with this advice. I made $60 yesterday not working hard to do it. The system is funny about things but once you hit the magic it works.

I don't understand what I am doing wrong. The questions just won't come in. Today, I added TRAVEL as one of my categories. In the subcategories, I added Disney, Mexico, New York, Italy, trip, cost, travel, plane, airline, etc.....does this seem right?? You are just supposed to add one word at a time, correct?

I find their website, knowledge base very hard to navigate and find anything.
