OT: ChaCha

i've had NINE questions all afternoon. was d/c from the chacha universe at 1:30 pm CT and just as i started to get questions again about 6:00 pm, quicklinks froze firefox for me, so i'm back to square one. this is the worst day i've had so far.

UGH - I had been able to log in and out and still be b2b and today I was really getting them fast - i got booted and lost my questions. I really though that logging out didn't matter - did I say UGH!

I have filed as an independent contractor before and it is nothing like what they are saying over there. If you are filing jointly it just goes on as extra income and is not that big of a deal. Pay 30 bucks for Turbo Tax and you will be good to go.

thanks i usually file online through turbotax, so maybe i can handle it myself. i always file jointly with DH, and he gets maximum deductions taken with no exemptions, so maybe we'll still get a refund even with my income thrown in.

I am a CPA, it is not that bad, especially if you are filing jointly....plus you can deduct certain home office supplies since you are working from home (computer, virus protection, ect.)

I got 62 questions today. I was bumped out twice, both times when I was b2b. Then 4 hours of nothing each time. But at least I got something!!!

Yep, keep your reciept, if you itemize you can deduct it, virus protection is needed for the job.

hahaha! awesome! i don't have a receipt but it'll be on my credit card bill and i could print the follow-up e-mail as a back-up. i've never itemized before though...eek...not sure i know how to do that. we always take the standard deduction b/c it's more.

on a somewhat brighter note...i just got my 75th question of the day! and it was a MORE question so i didn't have to look it up! WOOHOO! i think i'm gonna take my $15.00 and run, lol, night all (sad really...yesterday i made $36.00)

I'm jealous of those of you who are actually getting questions! I've been working on the computer all morning while my kids are in school and so far I've had 5 questions in 4 1/2 hours. Better than nothing, I guess. Hard to make top guide with traffic like that!

Ugh - I've been signed on for about 2 hours and I haven't had a single question. I think I managed 15 all week last week and I was hoping to get in at least 200 this week, but it doesn't look promising. I did see something that are "tweaking" some things in the universe, but I haven't been B2B since categories/interests took effect. I have spent a couple of hours adding as much as I can to them, but I also don't like doing ChaCha "work" and not getting paid. We'll see...maybe my ChaCha gravy train is about at it's end (but I hope not!).

I'm not even bothering anymore. I'm really hurting over it b/c I really needed the money for bills. I had to close my business this year due to the economy, but I still have bills to pay off. I was hoping ChaCha would tide me over to January, when some of the business debt is going to be refinanced to a lower payment and I was hoping to get an internship at WDW (still waiting to hear). Otherwise, I would have gone and gotten a holiday job, but places around here have already "fully staffed for the holidays". I guess I'll be seeing what I can put on eBay...

i'm so sorry the situation sucks, that's for sure. i've sat here for over an hour now waiting for a question, and nothing.
