OT: ChaCha

I tried the simulator test this last Friday and nothing ever came up for me. I logged in again on Saturday to finish and it was super slow. I think it took me 2 hours to get 10 questions. I logged into the Forum and found out this is normal. Why?? Not sure. But as of Sunday night I started doing ChaCha for real and have had no problems with questions flying up. Good Luck and I hope you pass. I literally jumped up and down and screamed when I got the email. I was so happy to have this as income since DH is looking for a job.

They say it can get slow during contests, but I am not sure how you find out about those... Anyone???

I have now finished my simulator test. I got a couple of esoteric ones that took a while to figure out but the majority I finished quickly. Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to see if I get it.

I finished on Saturday afternoon and found out by Sunday evening. GOOD LUCK!!!! I thought I was too slow, but apparently I was OK!

Taking the readiness test this afternoon and I was done with question 7 when our power flickered and I lost my internet connection. Does ChaCha save those 7 questions for the ten I need or do I have to start all over again? :headache:

Okay everyone. I got a QC today (see below). I thought it was okay to site the autojokes. What should I be using for the site? Thanks for your help!

Question - Comment More sex jokes

Your Response - Bungee jumping is like getting a ******* from a granny - it feels great, but for christsake don't look down. ChaCha on!

Your Source - http://autoguides.chacha.com/JokeGuide.aspx

Reason for Feedback - Citation

I received a QC for this when I started, too. Appartently you have to click on the specific joke and that opens it on its own page for you to cite. Pretty dumb, if you ask me, but oh, well...

I swear I was doing that! Oh well...I'll just keep trying, I guess. :surfweb:

When you click the link though, that's the joke menu, so you must have clicked "add as source" too soon.

I got my first QC today too for presentation. I left a company name in all caps. I was being lazy. Drives me nuts having to retype stuff from google maps that was in all caps. I should go look for an add-on to automatically fix that stuff for me! :headache:

I got 2 QC's today ( haven't had any in weeks) and both are utter bullsh!t. I'm seriously freaking annoyed. Ok, seriously, what the hell is wrong with this?

Question - Tell me a blonde joke
Your Response - Why don't blondes double recipes? The oven doesn't go to 700 degrees. Cha-haha! Thanks for using ChaCha!

Reason for Feedback - Presentation

I just used that same joke today! I would say the only thing I see is the Cha-haha; they are VERY picky about only spelling ChaCha.

I think Cha-haha is clever, esp. since you wrote ChaCha at the end.
I don't know if it does any good, but I would contest that one and say you are showing that ChaCha has a personality, which is what makes it unique to other systems and since you used ChaCha correctly at the end, you gave the IS the proper ChaCha reference.
I had a QC for something odd like that (not the ChaCha name) but that is what I wrote them. I have no idea if they read the feedbacks or not, but I still made TG and that is my main goal.

I read before on here, I believe, if you make Top Guide three weeks in a row then you will be given TG status the fourth week automatically. Is this correct?
I didn't get 200 searches in last week and don't want to work for 10 cents. My alternative would be as another poster wrote, to go into high gear and get to 200 before tomorrow at noon.
TIA for any help!

If you make TG 3 weeks in a row and don't have 200 questions on the 4th week you still make TG as long as the questions you do anwser still have the accuracy and completion rates needed for TG. This happened to me while I was at Disney World a few weeks ago, and I never lost my TG status.

Do you get dinged if you DECLINE a question? I like on the new questions that you have the choice to accept or reject. I declined a couple yesterday because I could tell they would take long to answer, and I'm just wondering if it will affect my accuracy or completion??

Thanks,
Maggie

I'd like to know this, too. I sure hope not. I have declined a couple because I knew they would be extremely time consuming to answer.

:goodvibes Thank you mirandag!

If it's the Cha-haha, I'll be pissed. There was a text of the week that had Cha-haha, so that's the only reason I've been using it. And I've been using it for a long time.

I guess I'll contest it. I contested on ages ago (like over a month) and I finally got a response back on it the other day (which btw, I was accurate and they adjusted my rating). So I guess they do eventually get to them. And it did say something about if their mistake had kept me from making top guide, that my pay would have been adjusted (it didn't, I made top guide anyway that week).

Declining a question does in a way ding you. It brings down your completion percentage.

Usually your balance will zero out at around noon EST and then you'll see your money in the next few days.

Tell me about getting a QC. How long does it take them to tell you you have one? For example, is it the next day, a week???? Also, how do they notify you; by email, a post to your account??? Thanks in advance.

You'll get an email.

When you get one- who knows. I went for over a month before I got my first one. I think they are about a week or so behind. So like they are reading from last week for top guide status this week and if they find anything from then, you get a QC. Make sense? So I'm fairly sure these QC's are last weeks questions. But you know how they all sort of blend...

Does it really count towards your completion percentage because I never accepted it in the first place? I was thinking it was like before when you would just not click on "accept" and let the question time out. I didn't think that was against your completion percentage??
