The week goes Sunday to Saturday....On Thursday they announce top guides from the week before. So since you started this past Sunday, they check accuracy this coming M-W and you'll be eligible for this coming Thursdays Top Guide list. So, you're good if you have 200 searches since Sunday...then if you have 95% accuracy, you'll be top guide. You don't have to do more if you don't want to. Then Sunday starts the new week, so you need 200 more before next Sat night. It's pretty confusing...I'm just starting to figure it out. There's a cartoon that pretty much summed it up.

Hope that helps!

Yes, thank you! :thumbsup2

I'm guessing that if you're new you're stuck at the 10 cent rate at least until you have your 1000 searches in total. Because I made the weekly count requirement, no QC's, and I'm stuck at .10 for right now. It's making me very apathetic about even doing any searches now because that's pretty much pittance money and I don't have the time to sit aside just for that kind of cash. :(

No, I made it my second week (i'm in my third week now). I hadn't passed 1000 when I made it.

Hi all,
I took the test a couple of weeks ago and got a pop up message that said my services weren't need at this time. It never said that I failed though. So today I got an e-mail saying they'd like me to work as an "expeditor". Has anyone heard of this? Here is a brief description of what an expeditor is: "Expeditors are like the Air Traffic Controllers of the ChaCha world. It's your speedy, savvy work that keeps the questions flying in swift, orderly fashion to the right places. At times, you'll even intercept questions yourself and provide an instant answer to the customer."

It goes on to say that expeditors are paid a base rate of 2 cents with a 1 cent quality incentive.

Did anyone else get this e-mail?:confused3

This is a new position - when questions come in an expiditor will put them in a category so they are directed to the right guide. They say you will be able to do about six dollars an hour that way. Some voice guides are starting to do it as well.

On another topic...tonight I saw an IS say MORE - and the guide answered - you get a new guide each times so please be specific in your query's.
That just makes me mad - how can you miss something that basic in the training? I hope they start firing guides who are that bad!

My first two questions I did that. Actually I hit clarify because for some reason I had it in my head we weren't supposed to type our own clarifications because that was cheating. :confused3 In the sim test, there is no recent activity button, so I didn't remember to press it. On question #3 I remembed and felt really :headache: .

Hi All!

I just started Chacha'ing this week, and I think I am doing pretty well, but I do have a few questions. When I logged on this morning it said I had a total of 188 searches, but my earnings only showed $17.10. Why would that be? And the accuracy portion -- Do they check every query or just random? I know of one that I messed up and didn't realize it until I hit send. GRRR -- I was so aggravated because I hate to make mistakes like that!!!!

The difference is likely your sim searches. They are included in your total number. Took me a bit to figure that out in the beginning too. I couldn't figure out why my total was always off by like $4.00.

I'm almost positive they do not check all your answers. How could they?

I did not make TG this week. I was none to thrilled about it either. I did about 1000 searches and got 2 QC's. One was so ridiculous I contested it but I still haven't heard back and it's been nearly a week later.

I got a QC yesterday too. It say "who is XX." So I found info on zaba. I put his name, address and phone. And the standard "thanks for using ChaCha!". Want to know what the sent me the QC for? Presentation! OMG I was so pissed. It's ridiculous. All the info was accurate and they send me a QC on presentation?!? Do you have any idea how many responses I see that look exactly like mine on an average day? Dozens! I highly doubt they are sending everyone one. I swear they are trying to make it so that people can't make top guide. I'm almost to the point of being so fed up that I might just stop doing it.

I believe the total there includes the number of queries you answered on the SIM test. If you subtract those, does it add up? Did you do 17 SIM searches?

I just read on the forums that LOTS of people are getting these presentation QC's .... did you type ChaCha correctly? Some people were using all CAPS and getting QC'd...apparently they're very strict about spelling it ChaCha. It's good to read that thread on the forums...to learn from other people's mistakes before we make them. I'm very careful to only capitalize the C's now. :-)

Ahhh, I did do 17 sim searches. That makes sense. Thanks for the info. I think it is going to take a while to figure out all of the ins and outs, but so far I am enjoying this.

Thanks! It doesn't hurt to try it for a while. I'm a stay at home mom and wouldn't mind making a few bucks to put toward our Disney fix!;)

Anyone know how to get them to stop texting you when they have high volume? I want to stop the text message high volume alerts.

I can't get into the underground to see my balance or how many searches I've done.

Is this happening to anyone else??:confused3

Yes - it's been down for about an hour. I can get in and do queries with no problems, but I can't see my balance or dashboard right now.

Nope. I spelled it correctly. I have always capitalized both C's. That's why I'm like ***?! It's really annoying. :headache:

Did anyone else get an email about becoming a ChaCha expeditor? I applied to be a guide, but never finished the application. I was a little weary. Yesterday I received an email asking me to apply to be an Expeditor.

Is ChaCha really as good as it sounds????

I think you just need to text STOP but I can't remember exactly. You really have to dig to find the instructions.
