How many hours a day are you chachaing ?

I try to do an hour or so, but my FT job has drained me this week ( I have worked close to 70 hours) so I have not done any since Sunday...

i got paid $500 last week (wednesday, july 16) and i'm already back up to $210. The money's real, folks!

ChaCha was going crazy a few minutes ago.

Yes, it still is, and I'm angry as heck  !

I finally got my kids to bed, well the baby who has gotten up three times in the last hour :headache: , the big boys are in their room.

I got my snacks and drink, paper and pencil, and am ready to work- what do I get :confused3 - the darn site keeps freezing up on me! I had to completely shut down my computer twice to get it going again and I still can't get anywhere! ARRGGGHHHH!

I need this money for :santa: bills and groceries- a family of 6 is expensive to feed, even with coupons, casseroles and meatless meals almost every night!

I feel better now!:rolleyes1

Weekends are my most productive time as the questions come one after another- oh, please ChaCha - don't go down now! :sad1:

I got the same thing.I am terrible at math and I GUESSED the answers like an idiot and failed.I have resubmitted a new app with a diffrent email...

You won't get accepted, they track by SS#.

I've been doing it since Monday and my goal is $10/day. I could do WAY more, but after 50 questions, I'm DONE! $300/month for Disney!!

I just started and it seems that it takes a while to answer the questions.

i chacha from about 9:15-9:30 a.m. to about 11:55 a.m., then from about 1 p.m. to 2:30-2:45 p.m. Now and then i'll log on at night for 20-30 minutes and make a couple of bucks. i try to work longer on weekends because you get more questions. usually on weekends i make $30-$40. weekdays are usually $15-$20. today i've made $22.00. of course, chacha is the only job i have, so it's easy for me to stay on 3-4 hours a day. i admire you for trying to work and chacha-i don't think i could! :worship:

has anyone else noticed how slow chacha is tonight? the questions are coming fast, but the queries load and submit SOOOO slow i got frustrated and gave up. :headache:

If they could get the universe moving at a reasonable pace I could make a ton of money! I keep wondering if it is just my computer - I wonder if I bought a new one with a better processor could I go faster?

I sent ChaCha a few questions tonight - my hubby and I were at a baseball game and started asking trivia..the first one I worded wrong and so the answer wasn't what I wanted but I see how they came up with it - so I clarified and it was OBVIOUS they didn't read the history and I got a bad answer...so the third answer was kind of right so I just let it go but I can see where if they don't do a better job in screening guides how they are going to lose customers.

I don't have to do both I am actually Saleried to 40 in my regular job and OT eligible after 40 ( last professional grade at my employer to be in that postion :cool1: ) which is why I don't move :rotfl:

But, ChaCha is very similar to a part of my regular job so that makes it easier, expect at my FT I sign everything Thanks JLM and I need to be sure when I am chachaing I don't
I figure if I am on the computer and doing nothing I might as well get paid for it...

Anyway that is pretty good, Congrats !!!

Does anyone have an e-mail for ChaCha support? I'm still having trouble with getting my I9 submitted and each time I click on the support link that comes up on the page it says "Page not found".

Thanks

i think that i am going to take the plunge and try this, but im not sure what to put on the "why i want to do it" we all obviously know why "more money for disney especially for this single mom" but i cant put that

amanda

alright i took the plunge this morning, now just waiting back for the invite to start looking at things for the simulator test.

I'm ready to take the sim test (I think)--does anyone have any tips for me before I take it? I could really use the extra $$, and I don't want to screw it up and fail!

I have had a few questions in which I just can't find the answer. What should I do?

Clarify! Say, "Do you mean...." or "Could you rephrase the question..." Or try putting it in the search engine a few different ways. If you can find the answer on Wikipedia or yahoo questions (which are blacklisted so don't link to them), try putting the answer in the search engine and it should come up with a legitimate site.

Or sometimes the answer just isn't out there. If you *know* the answer is out there and you just don't know how to find it (like a complicated math problem) or you don't know anything about it, try to clarify first and if it wouldn't make sense to do that, abort so that another guide will get it who may know how to find the answer.

I thought we could only abort in cases of emergency? I would NOT abort your question. Too many of those and you will get booted from being a guide.

For math questions, which unless they can be done on a basic calculator, I have NO flipping clue, so I make a joke at myself and link to a math for dummies site. And then always ask if there is anything else they need.

I mentioned earlier that wiki site and yahoo questions are good tools to use. Many times they have links within the site to outside sources. Especially yahoo answers. So I use them to get a link if I am having a hard time.

I use ChaCha all the time and I find most of the guides to give really good answers. Sometimes though they don't even try. I asked "What time are Unity services tomorrow (which would have been SUNDAY) in Tucson Arizona?" I got back a response saying they didn't understand what I meant. Well... what are the main types of services held on SUNDAY? And any search of Unity Tucson services gives you the results with Unity of Tucson being the first choice. LAZY!!! LAZY!!! LAZY!!!

I took my simulator test last night and it was just awful. My screen froze up during the test and I had to exit twice. Then I kept getting glitches during the search. Everytime I tried to add info to my answer a new screen would come up. I managed to answer 10 questions. It probably took me 45 to and hour to get through those 10 questions. It was very frustrating.

Has anyone been turned down after the simulator test?
I've seen some were turned down after the registration tests but I was wondering about failing the simulator test.

Check out the forums. It's been documented there many times that, while abort is not the first option you should use, it CAN be used in cases like that, as well as questions you find personally offensive (dead baby jokes, racist questions, etc). I thought the same thing you did, but it was an actual employee who said this. It's better to abort them to someone who can help them than to give them a wrong answer. Just don't abuse the abort button.

Like I mentioned earlier, make sure you send feedback to ChaCha to let them know of your problems so it won't count against you. My sim test was a nightmare of glitches, but I still passed because I let them know why.

And yes, quite a few people fail the sim test, which is why it's important to send them feedback about your problems so it doesn't look like you were just slow.

I'm in Tucson too! I have AZ and Tucson as key words and have gotten a few questions about our city. It's fun looking up stuff that's local.

I keep expecting the nascar questions. Haven't gotten any yet. Is the race tomorrow? I don't follow sports at all.

I did send feedback - thanks for the info!

I actually live in Marana, but that's close enough! We just moved up here about 3 weeks ago. :) It is nice to meet a fellow AZ DISer!

I am not a sports gal either. My step dad is HUGE into racing. His family is well known in NASCAR, but I could care less.
