OT: ChaCha

No top guide here either. Also first time for me since my first week. Guess that settles it. No more ChaCha for me. Not that I was getting ANY questions anyway.

I made TG this week because I stayed on the computer all week.

Usually I can do around 40 questions per hour, this week it took me an average of 6 to 8 hours to get in 70 questions. My numbers are the worse that they have ever been: 350, 97.5, 98.3.

How is it that the universe problems aren't supposed to count against us, yet, I answered no different then I've ever answered but my scores are slowly creeping down each week?

I wonder if it's done to get guides discouraged so they will quit? I know loads of people are upset and discouraged, I am, even though I made TG, my family and kids definitely saw tons less of Mom this week.

Since there's a hold on hiring, combined with all the other problems these last few weeks, I'm feeling threatened about job security.

I don't think that ChaCha will ever be the same place again.

It used to be fun to work for them, now it's a chore that I have to get done to help pay our bills.

Whats weird to me is I keep getting questions like
"why won't you text me back"
"why aren't you answering my questions"

I am an expeditor and I am not quite b2b, but they are coming fairly quickly.
but when i see that people are getting a couple of questions an hour, then i see the comments from texters, it makes me wonder how big the glitch is in the cha cha system

Seriously, how did the top guide get 1692 questions? I was logged on all day all week long (although not late at night) and I didn't make 200! I'm about halfway to 200 for this week, so hopefully I will make it this week.

I made top guide - I was worried! I knew I had my 200 but was worried about completion.

Those of you not on the top guide list - are you on the consectutive pay list? That list is HUGE this week.

I have been B2B this morning and I hate to admit it but it started last night after I entered a TON of keywords. I went to the thread where people are sharing their keywords and typed them all in and they have really made a huge difference. I thought I added a lot the other day but reading that thread gave me a ton of ideas and now I have several hundred keywords. It might be worth the investment in tme to enter them - they really did make a huge difference for me

Is anyone's counter lagging behind? I am sure I have done more questions than is reflected. Also, my account zeroed out and the $$ total is higher than the number shown, can I use this to determine if I have 200 this week? Thanks all!

Yes, my counter is not right. It is about 100 counts off The money total is correct though and matches my correct count.

Like a lot of us, I just want to cry!

Thanks to not having any queries I didn't even qualify for TG. I never even came close to 200 searches.

I didn't start getting quieries until just this Tuesday. I stayed logged in and was doing okay until I got Vista's blue screen of death late Wed evening.

Finally started getting queries late this afternoon and got Vista's blue screen of death again and .... nothing now!

... off to a corner now to have a good cry for myself ...

Today is the first time in awhile where I have sat and sat with no questions coming in..not one. I started at 4 and it is not almost 6pm. I have not had one diddly darn question. WTH is going on?

I have been like that all week. I have exactly two questions total for the week and I log in and leave it on and keep my laptop near me so I can hear if any questions come in and nothing happens. For hours and hours at a time.

It's not like I'm not willing to work. Even now that I am at 10 cents I'd happily answer questions. I'm just not getting any.

I thought maybe it was just me. I haven't been able to log on for 2 weeks and tonight I went on and am not getting anything. Then when one question came through I accepted it and nothing happened. Weird.

OMG! It just keeps on getting better.

After being logged on for two hours with nothing happening, I got THREE specialist questions in a row! Easy ones too about the length of the Twilight movie, a request for directions, and a basketball game score. Super easy right?

BUT.......to add insult to injury, when I clicked on them to accept them, they wouldn't come up!! Nothing happened and then finally the "you have taken too long to accept" message popped up for each one.

Ugh! Can't they get anything right???

I was B2B on Sat semi B2B on Sunday and slow since. Obviously categories worked for me then, I have tried changing them since then, I have tried staying logged on for a long time, nothing works....and tonight I am not slow I have stopped, no questions, nada, zilch, this sucks!

I had the same thing - I would tweek them and then be b2b but then lose it. Read that thread - I really though people were crazy but it works.

I think it works like this: If you type in lyrics but I typed in Taylor Swift AND lyrics - I will get the question instead of you. so you need to put broad and specific terms in every category. So as more people are getting specific in the cats - your words that worked when most people were general are not longer pulling in questions for you. So you need to add more.

Last night I would have said the same thing but reading that thread really helped me!

I just got deactivated as a guide!!!! There was an email saying that I had "consistent low scores" and could not be part of a team where customers depend on guides. What????? I never ONCE got any kind of emails from Chacha saying I had answered questions wrong. I did learn from reading the forums and here that I had linked to some sites for questions that I shouldn't have, but that was only a handful of times. I haven't been active on Chacha for about a week now-can't help but think that has something to do with it, especially in light of their difficulties.

I know a lot of people here depend on Chacha, but I gotta say that now, I really, really hope they go under. Chacha management is going to get a nasty letter from me too, telling them just how ridiculous this all is.

It is getting nuts. The sad thing is, I can't help but wonder if they are hoping people will quit.
