OT: Can anyone recommend a B & B on the Outer Banks, NC?

We are trying to get a good recommendation. Dh and I are celebrating our 18th anniversary. We need a place for 3 nights/4 days....and if possible...below $1000.00. We would even take hotel recommendations.

What time of year are you planning to visit OBX? Depending on the season, you may be able to rent a house with your own pool, hot tub, etc. for a "mini vacation". Some of the rental agencies have these available, primarily during the slower seasons, never during the summer months. I'm not really familiar with any B & B's in the northern beaches (Duck, Sanderling, Corolla) However, there is the Sanderling Inn and Spa, which looks very nice (never stayed there since we always rent a house). Sorry, can't help with you further south since we always go to Corolla (much less populated than the southern areas of OBX). I believe if you do an internet search you should be able to find some info on the Sanderling Inn. We're heading to Corolla in mid June for a week at one of our favorite houses in the Currituck Club......can't wait .....we haven't been to OBX for three years. Have a nice vacation!!!

We are going over the last weekend in May. I have looked at some of the rental houses, and most of them rent for a week only. We just need 3 nights (all the time dh can take off). We may just end up tent camping! LOL! I would rather stay in *MY* tent for 3 nights than in someone else's "not so nice" hotel.

Look here for units that allow "mini-vacations". You have to look at individual listings. Or, you could just call them and tell them what you are looking for, and they should be able to help you out. May isn't too hard, it's still shoulder season on OBX.
