We are thinking about going to Niagara falls this summer. Staying on the American side I think or not......we do want to go into Canada we will have a car. So any ideas or web sites would be helpful. Thanks

My in laws say there are some great campgrounds on the Canadian side they have never been on teh US side so I wouldn't know about those but here are some links to the ones on our side of the bridge.

I'm about 20 minutes south of Niagara Falls, NY. The only camp ground close that I am familiar with is the KOA on Grand Island. The toll to Grand Island is 50 cents. The toll into Canada is $3. Don't foget to bring your birth certificates for customs. There is a great camp ground at Darien Lake, which is about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls. There is a state park there which I am not familiar with, but the campground associated with Darien Lake Theme Park is great! The theme park used to be a Six Flags and they just sold and are opening under new management this year. Good luck. Let me know if I can answer any questions. :goodvibes

We've stayed at the Niagra Falls KOA in Ontario before and its quite nice! Its sort of in the "city" so its not terribly wooded, but still quite nice. They have this cute show within walking distance called Oh Canada, Eh. Its a dinner show and it kind of reminds me of the Hoop Dee Doo!

We stayed at Campark (Ontario) last summer. They had a pool, and a hottub, mini-golf, and various activites. Also, they have a restaurant where you can buy a very nice, reasonable breakfast.

I don't know if this will change with the new management but staying at the campground (or the hotel) at Darien Lake includes admission to the theme park... at least it did when we were there a few years ago.
