OT-buying infant car seat online

Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy an infant car seat online? I was thinking of getting a Graco SafeSeat. We won't need it until August. Will there be any sales before then?

It will depend. Best thing to try for is free shipping. Normally a place that does NOT have physical stores will be cheaper because there won't be sales tax, but sometimes not. I ended up buying ours from Walmart.com site-to-store because it came out cheapest by about $15 for the seat that I wanted. (A Baby Trend Flex-Loc). I paid sales tax but no shipping, and the seat was on sale.

My best advice is to do a google search on the model name you want. Include the color name and also the word "shipping" in the search string, free shipping offers will float to the top that way.

You can go to epinions.com and do a search for the seat you're looking for - it will give you consumer reviews, and a list of online vendors with prices.

I would go hang out at car-seat dot org for a bit and ask around there. They always know where the best deals are for car seats!

We have bought from GreatBeginnings.com before. They also have a 10% Off code too..."GBBABY". I ordered our Graco Snugride on the 20th...my DD was born on the 21st...and the seat arrived at my house on the 22nd! LOL
