Hi all,
As most of you have either seen directly or picked up through some of my postings, I lost my mother recentely (April 11th to be precise). While the last couple of months have had their ups and downs, I know the next couple of weeks are going to be especially stressful and could use the power of your thoughts and prayers.
My brother and family arrive from California tonight (my sister - in - law and the girls did not make it back for the funeral) and over the next couple of weeks there are a number of things we need to deal with. I had dinner with my Dad last night and as he started running down the list of things he wanted to make sure we did (ranging from making the headstone selection to meetings with attorneys and brokers revising his will and investments to sorting out her jewelry) I could almost feel the strength draining from me.
Add to that the final few weeks of summer, my DS has to make his decision on whether or not to play varsity football (this is going to be emotional for us whatever he decides as I'm on the booster board), DD is starting high school and has things she wants to do (new hair cur, clothes shopping, etc) in preparation for that, oh and let's not forget work (my fall semester starts 8/25). Just life in a busy household with two teenagers!
Thanks for letting me vent and TIA for the support you all are so famous for!
