This does involve out upcoming august trip, I swear. :)

This past month I just finished my 5th round of 100mg clomid. We've been ttc for about 8 months now with no luck. Used clomid for my last, as well. AF was due on the 5th of this month. Clock work 26 or 27 days every month. I tested on the 5th, and 6th, both negative with dollar store tests. I was wary about their effectiveness so I bought a two pack of answer first and took another on the afternoon of the 6th. Still negative. Waited a day today, still no AF. I still have one test left. Should I take it tomorrow morning? That would be three days late. Honestly, I am afraid to take it because I don't want to be let down yet again. :( I know that clomid can make you ovulate later in your cycle which in turn, would make your AF late. Am I just over obsessing, or should I take the other test? Anyone have an experience like this with clomid? I am getting butterflies everytime I use the bathroom - praying for no AF. ha ha, tmi, I know. This would be our 4th - I am already blessed with three beautiful girls, and after one more round we are giving up on the clomid. We'd have reached our limit for it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!:grouphug: Oh, and how this relates to our trip? If I were pregnant now, I would be 7 months during our trip. Would august just kill me?

I would wait till you are exactly 1 wk late to take the last one. I know from experience that those tests can get expensive...always said we should have bought stock in EPT. It took us 1 1/2 years to get pregnant with DD. And then we had to go thru IVF. Before that I had been on femara for 3 months & clomid for 3 months. With clomid we also did IUIs.

On a side note, I know all doctors are different, but my fertility specialist would not let us go thru more than 6 cycles with clomid. According to him it could have some long term side effects.

Have you had your tubes checked to see if they are blocked? A friend of mine has been on clomid for quite awhile also and finally went to a fertility specialst (instead of regular ob/gyn) at my urging. Come to find out her tubes are blocked and it has all been for nothing.

Hopefully you will get your BFP and can put all this behind you. If you are 7 months pregnant at Disney in August just remember to take breaks and drink lots of water. If walking gets to be too much you could always rent an ECV... I did on our trip last spring when I was 8 wks along

Sending pixie dust your way!

I don't have any answers for you on when to test. I just wanted to give you a :thumbsup2 for being able to take clomid that many months! I took it for about three cycles and it messed me up with hot flashes and mood swings! I was much happier when I switched to injections.

Good luck!!!! Sending ++++ vibes your way!

My doc won't go past 6 months either with the clomid. I've had biopsies done, did have an issue with luteal phase defect at one point. I go to the OB on our military post, so they probably won't check my tubes, and getting a referral to a specialist off post will take some time and effort. They don't like paying for civilian docs. Tricare is crazy. Maybe its just stress. My hubby is leaving tomorrow for more schooling, so maybe that's why its late? I hope that its just a late BFP though! :cheer2:

The higher the dose the worse the side effects have been - but I want this so bad that I'll do it. The night sweats were the worst, though. waking up in a soaked bed with drenched clothes is just nasty!

I remember sitting at work, in my thick winter sweater, when a hot flash hit. I thought I was going to pass out because I was so overwhelmed with the heat and sweat. I don't miss those days!

I just finished round 2 of clomid. I've been using OPK's like they're candy, I haven't gotten a positive yet, but I had ewcm, so I'm guessing I O'ed today.. we've been BDing like our lives depended on it. My last round did result in a m/c, but at least we know it worked. I got my bfp at 13dpo. It doesn't seem that you know for sure when you did O, so hold out as long as you can, I know it's very hard to do! You're less likely to be disappointed, especially if it's just too early. Its not unheard of to O on cd19-22 with clomid!

Which days did you take your clomid? 3-7?

Anywho... best of luck to you!!

the first three months we did days 2 - 6, but for the last two, we did 3 - 7. I have no idea when I O'd this month. I didn't test. I wanted to just relax a bit and not make myself sick with worrying etc. I figured I would have next month to chart again. :)

I don't remember exactly, but I did ovulate later than normal on the clomid. I was lucky enough to catch it w/ an OPK though. And due to that first round of clomid, we now have twins.... ;)

That's what I did the first month too... I just didn't do OPK's and tried to relax. Then we started trying right after the m/c and I didn't know when or if I ovulated, and I swore I wouldn't do that again. It drove me crazy not knowing, thankfully it was only a 34 day cycle, I've had 100+ day cycles and I was terrified that would happen again. I'm all out of OPK's for this month, but I think I O'ed so I'm just letting go at this point.

I really hope you get your BFP. Hopefully neither of us have to chart again for a LONG time!

I know exactly how you feel about your mc. I've had 4. :sad2: It's so depressing and heartbreaking - even the early ones.

It's really hard, I was a trainwreck. I was just on autopilot, functioning on a basic level and making sure DD was safe, fed, and healthy. I'm just now starting to come out of the fog a little. I'm sorry for your losses. *hugs*

Gosh I really want to take that last test tomorrow but DH told me to wait. It's so hard to wait!!! Ihate waiting. :)

My very first was at about 12 weeks. Hugs to you - we'll make it through!!!

Wait it out!! You can do it! :) :thumbsup2 C'mon BFP!

Oh the irony.. a "Plan B" morning after pill commercial keeps repeating on the TV. Ugh!! Not fair! :P

simple procedure at the radiologist office can determine if your tubes are blocked - called a HSG - hysterosalpingogram - basically they take a catheter and insert it into to uterus and flush it with saline and dye. If there's a blockage, it should clear it out. This was my problem. After I had it done, I got pregnant two days later (you have it done on certain days in your cycle). Google it - it's fairly common.

I'll have to talk to my doc about that. You need a referral for everything with the military and tricare prime, so I'll see if I can schedule an appointment. It couldn't hurt, right? ;)

Just so you know the best time to take a pregnancy test is in the morning, after waking up.

My sister took a home test and it was positive. She went to her doctors and had a test and it came back negative. She had been trying for a long time and was on clomid. My friend said that my sister was pregnant, and that she should ask for a blood test from her doctor. When she eventually went back and asked for one the results were: pregnant.

The first urine of the day is much stronger and will give you a better reading!
