I know this may be OT for this board but I did not know wher to put this, so here I go.

DH and I booked throught the bounceback program and we really did not want to go during the food and wine fest. next year. Does anyone know what the start dates of the food and wine were for the last few years?? :confused3

I'm not sure of the dates (think it always starts at the end of Sept). However, I did want to add that I think that you may lose your free dining if you try to make any changes to your ressie. When I booked my bounceback, DH and I were debating between 6 or 7 nights. CM told me to definately book seven and downgrade if needed because if we only booked 6 and then tried to change to seven, we'd have to pay for DDP for the extra night AND that since they only allow so many people to take advantage of the bounceback, the rooms allotted may be "sold out." Case in point, we tried to get a AKV room and it was already sold out for the bounceback program and that was back on 9/7.

We're booked Sept 25th to Oct 5th...I sure as heck hope F&W fest will be for at least a few days when we're there....

It started the day after we left this year...so I got to see all the booths set up...looked awesome!

I know we wont lose the free dining if we make changes, per CM who we spoke to when booking originally. Since we really had no idea we were gonig to book anything, we were told to just pick a week that we thought we would like and then make changes if we needed to.(as long as there was openings). I am really scared to try another resort after this last vacation, The BC, Poly and GF are out of the budget, I was wondering about AK??

take it you didn't enjoy POR?

the end of Sept probably around the 26th if not sooner.

I went with labor day.

oh wasn't sure either - got told I could definitely change it as long as I booked it during my stay.

asked days - take or add, plus resort, plus completely change - days and resorts - yes to everything.

It wasn't that I didn't like POR, I just love WL. It rained everyday for a little bit during our vacation and you have to walk outside to get anywhere at POR, so I felt like I was wet our whole trip. I also noticed that the dining hall was always packed and I mead packed from 7am-12pm. DH and I don't have kids yet, so that may be the reason I just love the laid backness at WL:confused3

Good luck making the changes. Here's hoping that the CMs I spoke to didn't know what they were talking about when they told me that you would lose discount if you made changes after you checked out (I spoke to two of them because the first one never gave me my confirmation number)

We were also unsure of our exact dates and the CM told me the same things as OP, we could change our reservations anytime between now and then as long as the resort has room. (Of course closer to the date -45 days out?-you have to pay for changes)
