I am wanting to get a pair of Caymans using the great discount from this thread-and am wondering if the black pair make your feet hotter than some of the other colors. I would love black so I can get the U of Louisville Jibbitz-Go Cards- but would rather have cool feet than team spirit. Thanks in advance on any advice given.

Kate, I have a pair of black ones (w/o holes) and they are hot, I have a pair of Lt blue ones and they are not hot.

I am from Louisville :) GO CARDS!

My black ones are NOT any hotter at all. I never even thought about it. The only complaint though that I have is they get dirty REALLY fast. Mine are always dusty looking.

Funny you should say that, I just washed my black crocs. They do always look dusty, I have yellow ones also that always look good. As far as being hot, my feet feel the same in both colors.

Mine did feel hotter in the black ones, but then again, we were in Florida in August - high 90s. I think any color would have been hot!!!:)

LOL! That's too funny about the dusty black crocs, I noticed that with mine too. I only have the black ones (so far), and I wear them all the time. My feet don't get hot at all, and we've had some very warm weather in IL lately.:)

I have nearly every color croc going. My feet do not feel any hotter in the black than they do in the pearl. I will agree, the black do look dusty and for some reason, my pink look dirty all the time :confused3 I think the different shades of blue stay the cleanest and never look dusty :thumbsup2 I live in SW FL and wear them all the time, my feet never sweat in them.

I have all colors as well and have never noticed my feet getting any hotter in the dark colors.

I have the Louisville Crocs (Go Cards!) and about 12 other pair in a variety of colors. The darker colors feel hotter on my feet, but they are way cooler than tennis shoes.

After reading this last night, I put a Disney black one on today and a Disney pink (was working in the back yard so no one to see me) and the black was hotter - I thought for sure I'd be able to write they were the same.

WOW... now see, I never did it that way....:lmao: I guess to really tell, that is the way to do it. To me, they feel the same, but that is wearing both feet in the same color. I can't wear 2 different shoes tomorrow to work, or the rest of the week for that matter :lmao: They think I am half nuts as it is, that would just put the icing on the cake :rotfl: I am leaving for WDW  on Thursday (will be there until Sunday) and do not want to do it there.. well, maybe I might. The next chance I get, I am going to try that and see if I can tell the difference. You really have me wondering now. :goodvibes

It actually looked kinda cute, I told my kids instead of it being Wacky Wednesday (they have that at school), it was Insane Sunday. I brought my black Mickey ones to WDW 2 weeks ago and I never wore them, just looking at black made me hot, but I never really believed they would be hotter.

Living south of WDW, you get use to the heat beleive it or not. So to me, wearing my black ones doesn't bother me. I usually bring my black ones up there because I don't want to ruin the lighter color ones :lmao: I may just wear a red Dinsy one and a black Disney one. At least they color coordinate :thumbsup2

I wear crocs every day to work. I work in a pre-K class and love them. I have nearly every color. I want the yellow next. Shoebuy.com doesn't have the yellow in my size or I would be ordering with the iwon code tonight :thumbsup2 I just ordered a pearl pair for the clinic nurse at our school. She didn't want to pay the $35 that the local stores charge. I try to match the color of my crocs to my outfit. That is what I mean by they think I am nuts already :rotfl: In the winter, I add either matching socks or leotards :rotfl2: I do admit, in the winter, once in a while I will wear two different socks with them to make the kids laugh. You have to remember, our winters are 65-70 degree days  so I really can wear them all year long. In the winter, I will wear them with long Disney jumper's & in the fall and spring I wear them with skorts/skirts, capri's and long Disney sundress for work :goodvibes

What discount is there on Crocs? I just got my first pair :scared1: about a month ago and love them, I have the black beach ones. I am definitely going to buy a few more pairs and if there is a sale somewhere it might make it happen faster! If I knew I could wear them to teach (high school) I would have every coordinating color!

How cute! I bet the kids love seeing what you are wearing every day. The red/black black/red combo would be adorable - I don't have any red, I think I might need them now lol

We have extreme temperature changes here - I thought I wouldn't have a problem at WDW in late August because it's like that here in July, but then I forgot that I don't go walk outside in our weather from 7 am to midnight five days in a row!

thanks, i hope the offer is around for a while. Of course they don't have the ones I want in my size now!! Do they have the Beach ones on shoebuy? I see Caymans, but I would want the beach since I already have those and know they fit

I don't think they carry Beach. The Caymans are exact sizes rather than S/M/L and have a different decoration at the top edge.

I think the Beach Disneys run larger though, at least for me. I wear a S in the Disney's, but the smalls are too small at Dick's Sporting Goods and the mediums are too big.

This is the difference on Crocs.com on Beach vs. Cayman (besides the exact sizing):

Beach

• buoyant; weighs only ounces

Cayman
