My dd's 4th birthday party is today. Of course she's having a Mickey party, her choosing, lol.
Anyway, I'm nervous. This is her first party with several friends of her's. I think there will be at least 16 people there, this is friends, relatives, adults included, but I'm nervous. First I'm nervous because of putting on an "appropriate party." Everyone is asking me if I got gift bags and what the craft is. Well I can't afford gift bags, I'm a single Mom doing it all on my own, so if they are mad, so be it. I have pulled together a craft of bead necklaces and bracelets, but that was kinda spur of the moment.
We are having cake and ice cream, and it's at a local park so there is playground equipment there. So I think the kids should be plenty entertained.
Now for the second part of my nervousness. My dd will be the youngest person there. Yes she is the birthday girl, but I still worry about the "mean girl" syndrome, lol. I don't know why I worry, my dd is very outgoing, not nervous at all, she is always around adults, and very outspoken, but still you have that fear.
I guess I just needed to ramble a bit. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Thoughts? Wanna share? LOL
