HI,

Dh and I have tickets for Sunday's Raptor game and are trying to figure the best way to get into the City. We are coming from North of guelph and we can drive to Yorkdale, park, shop and then take the Subway down to the ACC or just drive to the ACC and park downtown. We have parked at Yorkdale before and taken the subway to downtown but not to the ACC. can we get a subway right to it? How about after the game will there be a huge crowd trying to get on it? We have a gift certificate for IL Fornellos can we walk there after the game? Is there a Subway stop close to Il Fornellos.

Thanks for any help!!

The ACC is right at the Union subway station. So you will be able to take the subway (just one train) from Yorkdale to Union.
I have never been to a basketball game however I have seen a hockey games. There are crowds after the game but they are manageable. However if you wish Il Fornello's is a short walk (in the entertainment distrcit).

Allison,

My DH & DS are also going to the Sunday game. They are regulars. DS says it is an easy walk to ACC from Union. Il Fornellos is at 214 King St. West, near Simcoe. The closest subway is the King stop. It is about a 5min walk if the traffic lights cooperate. Check out the website www.ilfornello.com as there is a map that'll show the distance between the 2 places. Hope that helps.

Thanks,

So i take it you both think it is better to park at Yorkdale and take the Subway down. i did check the Il Fornello site and think the walk looks very doable especially if the weather stays like this.

Thanks for your help.

Parking should not be a problem on a Sunday afternoon; however the lots like to increase the price when sporting events are take place at the ACC. Not sure on what the average price at the parking near the ACC. The Toronto Transit( as a daily family pass (2 adults and up to 4 kids) on Sundays (ttc ). Check their web site for price

The office towers just a block north of ACC run about $7 on a weekend and another $5 at night - as for right across from ACC, I think about $12-$15 is what they try and get

thanks
