OT- Ball Park Angus Beef Franks?

Has anyone tried them??? Are they good? The advertising is getting to me. Hot Dogs made with 100% Angus Beef, yum!

Can not comment on Ball Park, but SO likes the Oscar Mayer Angus Beef Franks as they have no Nitrites (hard to find in that type of "meat" product-hotdogs, bacon, lunch meat, etc).

I personally like the Hebrew National fat free for the lower calorie content!

Another good brand, although pricey, if you might be looking for natural meat products is Maverick Ranch. They are very thick and flavorful.

We have tried them and don't really care for them. The kids refuse to eat them and they all love the regular ball park beef dogs. I think the skin on them is a little tougher and they plump up a bit more (maybe a little fatter to start with?), they are also a little deeper red than regular ball park beef dogs so my kids can spot them without me even letting them know. Silly me bought a bunch on a B1G1F deal so we froze them and are slowly making our way through.

I'm not sure if we tried the ballpark or Oscar Meyer Angus dogs a few weeks ago. Either way, they were really good. I am definitely going to get them again. I Hate, hate, hate mushy hot dogs and these were firm with a good bite ...does that make sense?

We have tried about every brand we could find of "natural" hot dogs, and settled on Hebrew Nationals for the DW, and Nathans for everyone else. They are expensive but once we tried them there was no going back.

I have had the Ball Park Angus, and they were a little better than the regular dogs, but not enough to warrant the price. If you are going to go into that price range, Nathans are the best IMO.

A hotdog is a hotdog. I can't see a difference between any of them.

Ball Parks plump when you cook them. Yup, they sure do. Problem is, you take them off the grill and they shrivel up to this wrinkly little thing that you can hardly taste.

Bought the Ball Park Angus beef ones 2 weeks ago. No difference than any other hotdog that I could tell other than the shrinking after cooking because it was Ball Park.

I like to buy mine from the deli case. Usually Hummel, but most of the time we're feeding a crowd so I get a box of Deuchmacher. The come indidvidually wrapped, and they are pretty big so one is my limit.
