OT: Baby names you didn't name your child

I had to put my 2 cents in when I read about the little girl named Zoe. My 3rd is a Zoe I know it means "life." It fits her she was our little gift from God. aka unplanned. She is sooo sweet and a true joy to be around. But on the humorous side she was not named until the nurse said I had to name her before we left the hospital for social security card. We sent the list down to the nurses station for a "vote". I am also a nurse. DH didn't return phone call so I went with the one I liked. My thoughts.. I had this 9 pound baby I am naming her. Zoe Alyssa

Matthew was named by opening the BIBLE while in labor. Thank goodness I opened in the New Testament.

before DH and I even discussed getting married, we discussed baby names - we decided on Gavin Patrick (middle for FIL) and Shannon Marie - our DS came first and got his name - when we got pregnant the second time we kept the Shannon but changed the middle to Patricia (MIL middle name) and we were going to go with Logan Thomas for a boy - I had always joked with DH that I would name our first-born while he wasn't at the hospital and the "joke" name was D'Artagon Pervis, needless to say he never left me alone at the hospital!

Also wanted to add that if we have a third we will call it "baby oops"

Our son is
David Christopher (David is my hubby's middle name. His side of the family always used Dad's middle name as a first name....we kept the tradition)
Daughter is
Lauren Marie (Marie is my middle name as well as my Mom and Grandmother's)
Daughter #2 is
Kennedy Amelia (Amelia is my Grandmother's first name she had 53 grandchildren and I felt like we needed to "Repay" her plus I loved her and I love the name!)


We had decided on Kennedy for a girl and Logan for a boy.....I guess we like airport names! Hubby used to tease and tell people we were going to name the baby Ferris....(our last name is Mueller....Ferris Mueller..he has a weird sense of humor)


I have had lots of children with beautiful names for students.......
