Hi y'all, I have a question.

Thought I did proper research on a Maclaren 2007 Volo Powder Pink stroller I bought from Ebay. All ads, both ebay and internet including the Maclren site, list the weight capacity as 6 months up to 55 lbs. However, my new in the stroller says the max weight is 15 kg. (My info comes from the prduct manual.) When I used several websites to convert to lbs, it is only 30 lbs. So now I am a little stressed because I bought it for January trip for my daughter that is now 40 lbs. Because I bought on Ebay I really do not want to mess with trying to return it.

Does anyone have a clue what the correct weight capacity is on the Maclaren Volo's??

THANKS SO MUCH!

Pretty sure it's 55 lbs. That is what every single web site says, so you'd think it was correct. My friend has a 2007 Volo and I put my 41 lb. son in it and it was totally fine, and she said her almost 60 lb. daughter rides in it from time to time with no problem.

I bought a Quest online yesterday and that one is 55 lbs. too. I think all the Maclaren umbrella-type strollers have that weight limit.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was worried I got scammed on Ebay, it was a good deal. I am feeling better about the purchase. I absolutely love this stroller!!

My 50 pound 5 year old (and occasionally her 55ish pound sister) had no problems with it last week.

I'm still using my Volo to push my 65 lb DGrD when we go to the boardwalk or on a long shopping trip - she has a 'turned' leg and does really well walking, but it requires more effort for her so she just wears out after a while. It's not quite as easy to steer as it was at 50 lbs and below, but it still works fine. I'll be packing the Volo in 2 days for our trip:banana: - just no way this otherwise 'normal' looking child can get around the parks all day long!

I just recently purcahsed a Mac volo. I just found the book that came with it and mine says 25kg(55lbs). Those Macs push like a dream.

I have one as well.....DD is about 45 pounds, and we have no problems with it. She sits in it pretty comfortably, and doesn't seem to be at all too big. We also use it easily for DD #2 who just turned one year old. We love this stroller.
