OT-Anyone have a kia sedona?

I bought a Kia Rio for the low price and the warranty. Long story short, I ended up with a car with MANY problems whose engine was destroyed at 68,000 miles. No problem, I thought-- it will be covered by the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Kia refused to honor the warranty, even with all my service receipts, so I had to take my local dealership to court to get reimbursed for the cost of the new engine. Obviously, I will never buy a Kia again. When I had a problem with my minivan, GM reimbursed me at least part of the cost of repair. Good luck with car shopping-- hope I don't have to do it again for a long time!

I think it has a lot to do with the dealership. I am on my third Kia and I love them. My first car was totaled in an accident and the dealership worked with me to replace that car...going to auctions and all until they found a replacement that had everything I had on my totaled out car and gave it to me for the reimbursment check from the insurance co. I didn't have to add anything and that car had 20,000 less miles on it. When I was ready to upgrade, I again went with Kia and I LOVE my car. The service dept is awesome. When I was stuck on the interstate for hours due to a bad accident ahead of me, I did a bad thing...after sitting for 3 hours I decided to do what all the trucks were doing and cross over the grass median to turn around and go back to the last exit. Well, I hit a ditch I didn't see and it broke the front fender off front around my left front tire. So I carried the car into my dealership, hoping it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, and really hoping it wouldn't have to go on the insurance claim, and they not only fixed it, they didn't charge me! They said I was such a good customer and if I had any problems to bring it back. If I've had any service problems whatsoever ( I had a few with the replacement car), they always offered me a loaner car and never even filed it on insurance. I was told by a co-worker who worked for Ford several years that that is never heard of. He also told a co-worker of mine who bought a Ford a few months ago...their new van that came out this year, (she has had to have the engine replaced and now her fuel gage is all messed up and Ford is not wanting to fix it, and she is MAD with Ford)...that the first year that a car company brings out a new vehicle, it has a LOT of problems and they get them all ironed out as customers bring in their vehicles, so that the next year, those models will be great vehicles cause all the kinks are worked out. Course, that isn't great news for the lady that bought the Ford van...but keeps me from wanting to purchase a new vehicle on any line...let it be on the market a few years so we know its a good vehicle. I will say, I was skeptical over buying my first Kia and I was touring the dealership and there was a lady in the service dept having her oil changed. I asked her how she liked her Kia. She told me it was her third one, she had the spotage, I believe, and she said she wouldn't drive anything else. She sold me :)
