OT Any teachers out there? iPAD touch Apps that are educational

Hello all. We just invested in an ipod touch for my son's 10th birthday. He says all his friends at school have one and I've heard they even use them as teaching tools in the classroom.

Can anyone recommend some good learning Apps that I can download onto it before giving it to him? He is interested in building, legos, Mario, Spongebob, and astronomy to name a few.

DD love stack the states and stack the countries for i-touch it may have a ipad version.

As a side distraction here...is there anyone with experience for ipad apps for children with autism? If so, would you please post here or on the disabilities board? Thanks! Looking into getting an ipad for DS3.

My kids just finished Kindy and 2nd grade and they used Magic Math ($1 in app store) in school. I also downloaded a spanish program sort of like Rosetta Stone (select the picture that describes what the speaker says) for $4 - Spanish in a month. They have other languages and a free demo. My 2nd grader is working through it this summer.
The games have been the big draw so far with Barnrush and Pet Hotel being favorites.
