OT any idea were to buy

A floatation device for my DD. She is an 8 yr old around 65 lb. I was looking over the web but could not find anything other then those floaty bathing suits. I am trying to find something more supportive. Any ideas? Thanks.

My DD used something similar when she swam in middle school too.

We use someting called Wet Vest. It looks a bit like the thera-band in the above link. Christian was unable to keep his head out of the water with a standard life vest because he tended to tip forward. Wet Vest keeps him upright.

Ours is a wide black foam that wraps around the trunk under the arms, and fastens with a wide velcro strap. In 6yrs Christian has never fallen out of it or taken it off himself. He is bouyant enough to enjoy the water and secure enough that i don't worry constantly.
