We weren't able to get a passport soon enough for our daughter so we will make a quick trip to Toronto for a week. We got a great deal for the three of us on Sunwing and thought Canada's Wonderland would be a great starter theme park. She is only three so we are a bit limited. What else do you folks suggest we do with her for the week? I will have my limegreen mickey on my back pack while we are at Canada's Wonderland. :thumbsup2

Check out the Science Centre. We went there a few weeks ago and my kids are 3 and 4. They loved it. There is so much for them to do.

Enjoy your trip!

I would go the Torono Zoo. If you're renting a car, Niagara Falls is only an hour away, the Great Wolf Lodge there is fantasic!! We just returned from a trip there. My son will be three in August and he absolutely loved it!!! I would personally do Great wolf over Canada's Wonderland, but thats just my opinion

Just back from our own Toronto vacation! No thoughts on Canada's Wonderland, but we went to both the Science Centre and the Toronto Zoo, and both had things just for younger kids.

Zoo: New "splash zone" that was just full of little ones enjoying getting very, very wet... bring your bathing suits!

Science Centre: an area just for kids under 8. We didn't get to go in, because our DD is 10, but it looked like it was the same kind of hands-on stuff that's in the rest of the place, only the kids don't have to compete with bigger kids to get a turn.

I have to agree. The Great Wolf Lodge is fantastic, and would translate into a much more memorable (and far more relaxing) vacation than Canada's Wonderland. Plus, there's TONS of stuff for families to do in Niagara Falls (if you're thinking themepark, Marineland is great :thumbsup2).

If you're really stuck on Toronto (which is tons of fun too....we're headed there for a week in August), here's a few ideas for young kiddos:

- Ontario Place
- Fantasy Fair (its an indoor amusement park inside the Woodbine Centre shopping mall)
- Bowmanville Zoo (is outside the city of Toronto, but would be a better choice, IMHO, than the Toronto Zoo for smaller children)
- Toronto Zoo
- Ontario Science Centre
- Wild Water Kingdom (in Brampton)

Also, check out the Todays Parent Kidsummer program at

http://www.kidsummer.com/

They have some great "kid-friendly" activities happening across the Greater Toronto Region thoughout the summer. Some are free, some may only require that you pay adult admission. Might give you some ideas that you hadn't considered before!

Also, check out:

www.toronto4kids.com

This is a great resource for ideas on fun things to do in Toronto! Click on "Kid's Directory", then "Fun Things to Do". The list is broken down into sub-lists (like "amusement parks", "indoor playgrounds", "waterparks", "petting zoos", etc.).

Have an awesome trip!!

We live in the Greater Toronto area and having visited Wonderland twice over the past 2 weeks, I have to remind you to do it like you do Disney! Arrive at least 30 minutes before published opening and get to the rides of chioce early. By noon you will be in 30-60 minute line-ups (and these aren't handled as friendly as WDW).

With the age of your kids, you will no doubt spend most of your day in Hanna Barbera Land and this is by far the busiest area of the park. SKIP SCOOBY DOO! this line is the SLOWEST MOVING LINE and even though it looks like Buzz lightyear...it is nowhere near as good and even if the line looks small, you are in it for 45 mnutes due to capacity issues.

I second the Great Wolf Lodge idea in Niagara. We were there a few weeks back also and it is a far more relaxing time and much closer to what I enjoy about Disney - themeing, quality of service, cleanliness (we've been 4 times). Your kids will love the storytime under the stars and character breakfast! It's pricey but worth it especially in the summer when you can enjoy the outdoor pool and activites as well as all of the indoor activities.

Have fun in TO!
