OT: Any Battlestar Galactica fans?

Besides being the best show on television, the series finale is airing next Friday. Anybody have any guess on what will happen?

While I am looking forward to the finale, I'm going to miss this show. It was amazing!

The show is amazing!!!! I am going to miss it myself. I have no idea what or how they are going to end the show. I understand it is suppose to be nothing that people are expecting.

I loved the first two seasons, but I have lost interest lately. It just got too complicated! I have been watching the last few episodes because I am curious to see how it ends!

love it! i am a huge BSG fan, heck, i love sci-fi in general.

the last season or two have been very dark, so hard to watch, but still great. I am going to be very sad to see it go. I hope they do the ending justice, so many other shows ruin the finales.

Probably be something that involves the humans and cyclons living together for survival or something.

Big fan here! We just bought the Fracking Toaster off their website as a b'day gift for our friend - the toast gets burned with a cylon image on one side and the words "Frack Off" on the other - we couldn't resist

The auction stuff is crazy $$$ - some serious fans out there!

I'm out of town next week so will actually miss the finale. I was so disappointed they are ending the series; I think there are a lot more stories that could still be written. I think it will end with the realization that everyone is a cylon, but that's pretty predictable so I don't know how they could phrase it to be shocking and satisfying.

This thread caught my attention because my husband really enjoys the show. He mentioned something about a spinoff called Caprica (going straight to dvd) and then to t.v. It's supposed to be kind of like a prequel (using term loosely) to BSG.

Huge fan here, just about to watch the DVR special from tonight, so say we all! Anyone ever play the board game?? My friends and I played it after last weeks episode, confusing at first but lots of fun!


Oh and on what I think will happen, I think its going to be very grim I have a feeling Adama and Roslin will "go down with the ship" which IMO is a lot less depressing than her flatlining and him slipping a ring on her finger (I almost cried during that vision she had) still holding out hope she eats a cylon baby and lives lol Anyone have any thoughts on Starbuck? I think she's a half-breed but there might be more to that, something involving time. I think the earth they came upon was not present day earth and maybe they'll find present day earth in the finale?? Maybe starbucks body is from the future?? Grrr either way I need answers and i've been dissapointed with these past few "set up" episodes.

Thx a mint for that tidbit...did not know but will get it for sure. I thought season 3.5 on DVD was spectacular so this one will prolly be great too.

ITA - tho I'm enjoying this final season it feels like the writers didn't fire up their FTL drives for this season

I hope, they wrap up with all the questions of who and what are answered.

and they need to put the entire series on netflix instant view. There is stuff I wanna go back and watch, so I can put the entire story in context.

And of all things... my guess is that starbuck is a cylon (model unknown, and the unexpected result of some hybrid testing) and we are gonna find that out at the colony, or they are all really cylons of one form or another. And all this took place some how in earth's distant past... so we are all cylons of some sort.

I think Starbuck is the daughter of Daniel, the missing Cylon.

I think the blackhole near the Cylon colony is actually a wormhole and will lead them to a new home.

I think Baltar dies doing something heroic which in turn shows his destiny. He is important to the Cylon God

My friends and I all thought of her as Daniel's daughter after the episode with the piano, I think this is the strongest prediction we have. I also thought about the wormhole idea, but my friend said he heard somewhere that we shouldn't expect a completely happy ending, its going to be pretty dark so i'm not sure. One friend I have is pretty certain everyone will die and it will be the end of civilization I doubt that, but I do think we will see something resembling a cycle that all the hybrids talk about. Thats why I think it has something to do with time, and thats why starbuck saw her body there. It was her future, not her past?

Like i said earlier I hope they pilot a skeleton ship and go down together. Roslins original vision coming true is too much to handle.
