OT: Another request for pixie dust

Some of you may have met my VMK character, TimidVicky. Well, that character is based on my real life best friend Vicky who is yes, timid. She is having major surgery today and is in the operating room as I write this. The surgery is expected to take at least six hours. The recovery will take at least two months. Would you please send some pixie dust to Vicky?

Vicky doesn't play VMK but she knows ALL about it and the Dis because I share the stories of our adventures. Her favorite VMK player name so far is "Pixie-Stick". For some reason it's hilarious to her. She laughs any time she sees real life pixie sticks candy. I think her favorite story is the one where Moussedude started a thread stating there were only 29 trick or treating days left until Christmas. She has also enjoyed the unfolding of the big shoes, flat feet and cups stories.

This is for cat_herder... Vicky has five cats plus has her sister's two cats while her sister is away. She has entrusted me to herd all seven cats into the basement on Wednesday so the carpet cleaners can do their job. I'll let you know how that goes! I suspect I'll be helping herd the cats into travel crates once Vicky's sister gets back so she can take them to her house. I should be an expert at herding cats by the time I'm done.

Vicky's sister called earlier this afternoon to let me know the surgery had gone well and they had to do less work than they expected so her recovery should be a bit easier. It will be very painful but hopefully easier.

Vicky's doing quite well. Her sister and I visited her yesterday afternoon and she was doing much better. She had been too sleepy so they changed her pain medication which was a big improvement. She has been up and walking about a bit which is great news! I didn't see her today because she called this morning to let me know she was being transferred to a different facility to continue recovering. She was supposed to call me when she had a few minutes available to give me more information once she was moved but I was on the phone all afternoon helping my sister-in-law cope with a crises situation. Hopefully I will have more info from Vicky later tonight.

I told Vicky you were all sending her pixie-stick dust which made her laugh. She really does love hearing about the weird stuff we do in the game. Her college major was English so she really appreciates how creative we are with the limited VMK dictionary. I wish she did play the game because you would enjoy her company a lot!

Then Vicky's sister and I went to Vicky's house to herd the cats into crates because they are going to stay with Vicky's sister for a while. We had seven cats to herd. Vicky's five and her sister's two. We herded the cats (and two are excellent at hiding and won't come out for snacks or cat nip) in about half an hour. It was pretty funny. Picture an overweight, 45-year-old woman leaping over a couch to catch an escaping cat. That was me. Then I got to put all the furniture back where it belonged. I sure know how to have a good time!
