ostend

Has anyone out there ever been to Ostend in Belgium. We are going at the end of this month but i have just found out we are not staying at the hotel we were supposed to be staying at. Has anyone ever stayed at the Grand george v hotel if so what was it like? I am not happy about it and from the pictures i have seen it looks horrible can anyone put my mind at rest please.
