Osbourne Lights -- closing time???

We will be at WDW at the end of Nov/early Dec, and everyday that we are there MGM will close at 8pm (except for extra hours, but we won't be doing those). Will the Osbourne Lights be turned off right at 8pm, or will they stay on a bit longer?

In the past they've been on a bit longer... some have even snuck out the back exit after Fantasmic and gone up to see them after when everyone else is being ushered out the exit near the front gate.

A. There is no "back exit" from Fantasmic! Both of the exit-walkways dump into the same street, about 50 feet from each other (on either side of the B&B theater.)

B. Most nights the exiting crowds from Fantasmic! are ENCOURAGED by CM's to visit the OLights.

If they did not intentionally STAFF the OLights after Fantasmic!, nobody would be allowed back to see them (there would be no way to "sneak back" to see them.)

To see if the OLights will be operating after Fantasmic! on the day you are there, check with Guest Relations at MGM earlier in the day.

Make sure you check the closing time of the park the day of if you plan to do Osborne after Fantasmic. Last year we went in the early part of December. We went to Fantasmic and then started to walk to the Osborne lights. We were told that MGM was closing early that night do to a Christmas party so we could not see them that night. If I had looked at the card they give you at the resort for all the closing times I would have seen this. I was unfortunatly going by what the calendar online had said before we left home. This was the worst wait for bussed we have ever experienced. Since the park and Fantasmic both got out at the same time it took over and hour to get on a bus. We tried to catch a taxi but there were none available. Such a mess.
