Not really a FW trip report, but we live so close that we drove over to see the Osborne lights for the first time last night. We are staying for a long weekend at FW in 2 weeks, but didn't think we could get all the Christmas related things in that we wanted to do so we went to see the lights ahead of time. For anyone who has not been and if you have a chance to go, please do so. A more perfect night I can't imagine. It was chilly, at least by Florida standards (about 55 deg.) so it made it all the more fun. Even my DH who is not a Christmas person said it was great. The lights are unbelievable. The music puts you in the mood. Kids and adults alike were seen dancing in the streets. The "Florida" snow just topped it off. It was crowded, July kind of crowded, but once the lights came on you forgot about the crowds. I thought everyone was very polite and nice. This may just be a yearly event for us. Next is the Candlelight processional when we stay in December. Another first. Hope everyone at the Fort now is having a great time. We can't wait to loop and see all the decorations.
