Hi Guys,

this will be the first year i get to see the osbourne lights, and with them going away possibly im glad i get to see them! so onto my questions;

1) at HS where the lights are, are there any food or drink kiosks servicing christmas foods, drinks, speciality drinks?

2) do the lights remain on until park close? is there any special lighting ceremony show each night?

3) is there any "not to miss" things to do during the osborne lights.

thanks in advance

1 - No there aren't any food options unless you do the dessert party thing. The lights are in the Streets of America section - so what's there during the day is what you get during the lights.
2 - Yes and I think there was some kind of lighting ceremony. The lights come on at 6 if I remember correctly.
3 - Not really - you just walk up and down the street and look at the lights and watch them twinkle to the music!

They ARE going away after this year.

1)Yes

2)"Normally" until one hour AFTER Park Close/"Usually" a lighting ceremony and it is "usually" at 6:00 PM

3)EVERYTHING!:)

The Streets of America are super crowded when the lights first come on, and there's not really anything "special" that happens, so hold off if you want to avoid the worst of the crowds. The show restarts every 10-15 minutes (lights dim then come back up synchronized to music). Try to have more than one night you can go see them during your trip, because if it's raining there's a good chance they won't play the show and a lot of the lights/effects will be turned off. Make sure you look for Baby Sinclair (from the show Dinosaurs. "Not the mama!") and the black cat--they're easter eggs hidden in the display. The black cat (technically purple when lit) tends to move around every few nights because people spoil its location on social media.

The "counter service" that is open during the day is also open at night. There are also a couple of adult beverage stations.

1. Yes--- there is hot chocolate in souvenir holiday mugs which we love to get while watching the lights. They also have holiday cookies which we get to go with the hot chocolate. They also have glazed nuts, cinnamon sugar pretzels and other pretzels and churros and you can buy cheese or chocolate sauce with those,, they also have holiday cupcakes and rice treats, caramel popcorn, cotton candy, and beer, wine and egg nog. I believe the stand is also open during the day, so it is not only Osborne, but it definitely has a holiday menu. They also have stands with light up toys and things for sale.

2. As a previous poster said- it is packed during the lighting ceremony. We did that once and said never again. It is usually much better later at night- although with it being the last year, it may be constantly packed. Our absolute favorite time to do them is during EMH evening hours if that is an option for you. We have found them to be crowded at the very beginning of EMH- but about 30 minutes later they were relatively empty. There was plenty of room to see everything and DD loves to dance to the music. (Fyi- even when it is crowded, you can usually find a spot back by the restrooms with space to dance if you have kids, or anyone else, who are moved to do so!)

3. Enjoy. Take the time to really enjoy them. Have hot chocolate and a treat. Listen to the music. Look for the Halloween cat that is hidden in them every year. Take photopass photos. There are several spots where the photographers are set up, and Santa Goofy has been there the last few years (although they had Santa Goofy out during the day last year and his line gets really long during Osborne lights- so you might want to catch him during the day if you can).

I'm so jealous. The Osborne lights are my absolute favorite holiday thing at WDW. I have really fond memories of a trip where we have friends meet us at WDW, and DD and her friend were dancing with the music just filled with joy, and the parents gave in and were dancing with the kids. When they announced recently this was going to be the last year, I tried to find a way to get us down for a weekend to see them one last time, but the airfare and trip was just going to be way to expensive for a very short trip. Have a great time!!!!!

Is it possible to go from 7 pm Fantasmic to the Osborne Lights on a scheduled park closing of 8 pm? We are going on Fri, Nov 6.

When and where is the "snow" I've heard about? Thanks!

Periodically "snow" will fall from the top of the buildings I think just down the main, longer road. It is not random; it is synced with the "announcers" and I think one or two of the songs.

As to the OP, another thing to do is to look for hidden mickey's; there are dozens of them. There are a handful of other Disney characters scattered, as well as a Santa Claus figure (not lights). Look on the sidewalks, in the windows, and on the balconies. There's usually a plush Mickey and Minnie on the sidewalk, for example.

I like to walk through the Streets during the day and then again at night when the Lights are on. I think it is fun to look intot he infrastructure of the lights and tehn see how they look when they are all lit up. It is pretty neat!
