Hi there,
quick question about the osborne lights at mgm...we're only going for a couple days in december and we were going to skip mgm for time reasons...should we add another day and fit it in to see the osborne lights or no? is it worth it? :confused3 what do you think?
thanks!

You can't miss it!!! Being from a place where snow falls regularly...it was the coolest thing to walk around and have it snow. It was one of our favorite things to do last Thanksgiving and one of the things that the kids remember! :goodvibes

I agree with the above posters. Find time for the Osborne Lights, they are beautiful and really put us all in the Christmas spirit. Have a great trip!

We saw this last year and it was one of the most beautiful displays. Don't miss it!

Hate to do it to you, but I'd say yes as well. Hopefully you're in a place where adding a day is truly doable--or you'll feel terrible since everyone keeps saying how great it is. (but...it is! :) )

Oohh - I'm glad I saw this thread. We're going the first week in January and I noticed they don't take the lights down until our second day. I wasn't sure if we'd bother going all the way over there just for that, but maybe we will now!

YES YES go see it!! You will love it!

Not long ago, there was a year without the Osborne Lights, and they were sorely missed. I wouldn't miss them, if you can add an extra day, that's what I would do.

Bobbi :)

(quick intake of breath) Must see? Yes, Yes, YEs, YES, YES! They are definitely a MUST SEE! During our trip last year we went over to MGM to see them again, and even though we had seen them before, we were sadly disappointed when we found out they were not working that night. :sad2: Lucky for us they were working the next night. :santa:

YES! If you can - the lights are a must see. Walking through the streets with all the lights and sipping hot chocolate and then the snow starts! It is so wonderful!

I hope it works out for you!
Cindy

you and Tim should definately add an extra day and see the lights on Saturday night when you get in. :hourglass ...Jeff and I will call you from our cell phone and let you know how pretty they are when we see them first thing Friday night when we fly in A WHOLE DAY BEFORE YOU....HA!. :rotfl: ..or we can just wait and see you later on in the weekend when we rendevous in Epcot :grouphug: and rub it in that we saw the pretty lights and you didnt.....your choice.... :rotfl2:

Not to be missed...the last time we went in Dec we cancelled the Luau to go back a second night... :goodvibes

Not that you need another resounding "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!", but I wanted to add, that they made me cry. Somehow, it got very quiet and as the snow flew, I cried! You will really enjoy it. It doesn't take long, but is definitely worth it!

Just in case you are still undecided and need just a little more push.... YES YOU SHOULD SEE THE LIGHTS!!! (Sorry for yelling.)

It is hard for me to explain why this display is so wonderful. I live in Wisconsin so seeing snow is not something new to me. We have lots of Christmas lights here as well as Christmas music. But there is something so magical about this display. You will love it!

So here is one more vote for staying another day to take in the lights.

We rarely go to MGM, but always make sure we visit when the Osborne lights are up. We make a stop at the Writer's Stop (near lights and Sci-Fi) for a cup of hot cocoa and then on to see the lights and snow falling. We enjoy going late in the evening right before the park is closing with a little chill in the air......

We've been to MGM at least 20 times. We first saw the Osborne lights three years ago in December. It's gorgeous, but it can be very crowded, so be prepared. Definitely worth going though. :thumbsup2

Before we saw them for the first time, we couldn't usnderstand why or how it could be such a big deal. Then we saw them. WOW! Now we won't miss them! :thumbsup2

Wow! Not one person said "no."

Such amazing agreement on these boards!?!?!!! Is it just that the people who think they are ho hum don't bother to read this thread, or can the lights really be that fantastic??!?!?!

I cannot wait to see them now more than ever!!!!
