So I was at the Osborne Lights last night.

I noticed a small section of lights that were out. I went over to talk to one of the Cast Members about it. The ones who wear the really cool Osborne Lights Cast Member shirts. The shirts you can't buy. The shirts the cast members won't sell you, cause they'll loose their jobs. (I asked) Those awesome shirts, that become more awesome the more I know I how hard, if not down right impossible to get. If you haven't seen the shirts and you love Disney shirts, don't go looking for them, you'll wind up with a bad case of shirt envy. One of those guys.

Any way. I tell the guy about the lights that are out. He says, "It's the rain. The breakers keep popping, even when we reset them." At least that's what I think he said. I kept staring at his shirt. He was like, "Hey, buddy. My eyes are up here."

It was raining off and on all night long. As it did, more and more lights went out. By 10 PM, they had lost:

Merry Christmas (words over street)
Most of the angles around the globe.
Tinker Bell, with the 20 year number. (noooo, not Think!)
The front of the Italian restaurant.
The entire alley with Lady and the Tramp's table.
Several sections of several buildings.
On and on, I mean, off and off it went all night long.

The interesting thing was the fact that they had lost Santa. The one being pulled by the reign deer over the street by the big tree. Santa was out, but the reign deer were on. Obviously I've been spelling reign deer wrong all these years. Clearly it's spelt Rain Deer.

While it was raining (not reigning) it wasn't you're typical Central Florida summer time torrential rainfall. Just enough to get you wet, or soaked depending on how long you stood there with no poncho. (and no one brings ponchos, we all buy them, wear them once, bring them home and put them in that one room that has only ponchos and is almost completely full of ponchos)

I find the fact that what appeared to be a mild amount of rain was taking out so many lights at a Disney event to be (wait for it) ...

Shocking.

Simply shocking.

Well, at least the crowds were low.

Gotta go search eBay for that shirt.

Somebody else posted crowds were light due to the rain, maybe they were light due to the lack of lights?

I'm not sure if you're being intentional here, but your original spelling of reindeer is incorrect too :P Grammar police blehhh. sorry. I don't like myself for this post either.
