Does anyone have any idea if the Osborne lights (I hope I'm spelling that right) will be at MGM for 2006? I asked a CM who said she hadn't heard anything about them NOT being there. I think I heard residential street was coming down so there was no place to put them but am not sure.

If anyone knows anything, it will help with my planning!

Thanks!

They were there last year so I would imagine they will be there this year. Residential street is already down. That is where Lights, Motors, Action is located. They use the New York St area. I like where the lights are located now.

I believe the only year they haven't had them was 2003 (the one year I went in Dec, doesn't that figure). They were in the process of tearing down residential street to build the Lights, Motors, Action show at that time. In 2004 and 2005 I believe they were on NY Street, and will be there from now on. We are going again this Dec, and I am looking forward to seeing them!

They were there last year but my favorite part was walking down residential street looking at all of the lights on the houses. It's still pretty, there just isn't very much to walk around anymore now that residential street is gone. It's pretty much New York Street and a couple alleys/side streets now.

No Official dates have been posted yet but it is still listed in the WDW website. Last year they started 11/14. They were already putting them up when I was there at the beginning of September. I think they usually start putting them up sometime in August, probably after the Peak summer season ends. They have been very slow to update the Official WDW website for a number of events this year as there are still no officially posted dates for the F & W Festival either. Or any details about the Pin Celebration which was already on sale at this time last year. Hopefully they will be posting this info in the near future. I think they are hung up on POTC right now.

Thanks for the info. The Osborne lights were listed in my AAA brochure I just received after booking our trip (12/19-12/22 at CR) so I am encouraged they will be there. This helps alot in my planning -- we are more likely to hit MGM after naptime then and stay through the evening so we can enjoy the Playhouse Disney show & the lights!
