We have never been to Disney in December so please forgive me if this seems like a stupid question. On Friday, December 9th DHS is scheduled to close at 8pm. Will we have a chance to see the Osborne Family Lights that evening? What time does it get dark in Orlando at that time of year?

You'll have plenty of time, sunset is around 5:30 I think. They usually have the Castle Lighting around 6 or 6:15 and it is full dark at that time.

Thanks Kim. My husband HATES for our daughter to miss school so I assumed we would be arriving LATE Friday evening the 9th for DISapalooza. He was looking at airfare with me today and when I kept pointing out the late flights he said "I plan to get there by early afternoon." Don't know what he did with my husband but I'll take it. So now I'm thinking of everything I can cram into the day/night on Friday. I was disappointed because I didn't think we would get to see the Osborne lights but now I think we will! :cool1:

The lights also Dance for about 30 minutes to an hour after the Park closes if I remember correctly.

I remember them coming on around 6:30. This would have been the week before Christmas, I guess the times would vary a bit as the days get a little shorter each day.
