Osama Bin Laden cites the media!

I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but it's not just those of us on the left who are against this war and this President. Those in the middle and even a few of your conservative friends have come to see that what we thought all along was true.

About all you have left on Shrub's side are the blind faithful that will follow him right over the cliff without ever stopping to question why.

And please, explain just who the "people of God" are.

Who is this "shrub" you speak of?? :rotfl: Are we going cliff-diving?? :rotfl2:

If you had seen the post I was answering, you what have seen that I was simply saying Christians have the right to defend themselves (as they did in the Bible often with God's assistance). Try to stay calm. :cool2:

Joe's his own worst enemy. We really don't have to type anything...just point him in the right direction, wind him up and watch him take foot (A) and insert into mouth (B).

I swear he's one of the best posters the left has on this CB.

Thanks Joe!

More personal insults. :p I'll consider the source. :3dglasses

What the hell are you babbling about? Here's what Joe wrote:

Iraq was the terrorists' home country, as you say. Well, then, we made the right decision to go there to get Saddam and his terrorists friends.

That's so true! DH's father was a rear admiral, and DH's mom still lives in a Navy town, and she is totally anti-war and anti-Bush.

Actually, for the Iraqi people to stand up and announce that they'd like a regime change, please (personally), although the forecasted regime collapse would have been equally acceptable. So would a war on Saddam Hussein if waged properly and for that explicit reason, as opposed to running in screaming for blood under the pretence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction available for use within 45 minutes.

You failed to declare war on a sovereign nation for "discredited", "weak" and "flimsy" reasons that didn't pan out. And don't you even try the "defied the UN" argument - by that line of reasoning, Israel is long overdue all out war.

Tut tut tut, trying to judge the Great Wars from your arm chair on the other side of the globe. It's not gonna work you know - I'm not going to get into a slanging match with you over "whose country was in the Right" because, as we all know, war is never Right.

Coincidentally, I was discussing the penultimate events in the Cold War over dinner, specifically the Russian's attack on an American naval vessel. What is your opinion here? Would you have demanded all out nuclear war in order to remove Stalin?

Oh yes the Iraqi people just had to say, hey Saddam, we want some changes around here. Yes, Israel has the right to defend itself too, despite the anti-Semitism that is rampant at the UN.

War is never right? The US and its allies (you know, the one's not bribed by Saddam) did the right thing in Iraq.

And that's why we are defending the Chinese populace against human rights abuses and communism, and that's why we are defending young girls in Thailand against the sex slave trade, etc.

Stop fooling yourself. We didn't go there to "free" the Iraqis. We went there to protect our oil interests. I find your arguments apprehensible.

Ah, bloodlust, the most anti-Christian thing I can think of :thumbsup2

It just bugs the hell out of you when people don't show what you consider to be the proper respect for that bumbling fool, doesn't it?:rotfl:

Hmmm...maybe that's why we do it.

Nah, it's because he doesn't deserve any respect. The fact that it drives you up the wall is just a bonus.

I'll bite, Joe. If Christians have the right to defend themselves (which I agree with, btw), please inform us exactly which categories of human beings do not have the right to defend themselves. I'm quite curious about your forthcoming answer to this.

Didn't Jesus' teachings kind of change that way of thinking for Christians? Those of you who like to like to intermingle war and killing with the Christian teachings of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, might want to re-read the New Testament...just don't be embarassed or surprised if it doesn't jibe with your thoughts on killing, self defense and vengence.
