About all you have left on Shrub's side are the blind faithful that will follow him right over the cliff without ever stopping to question why.

Actually, for the Iraqi people to stand up and announce that they'd like a regime change, please (personally), although the forecasted regime collapse would have been equally acceptable. So would a war on Saddam Hussein if waged properly and for that explicit reason, as opposed to running in screaming for blood under the pretence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction available for use within 45 minutes.


You failed to declare war on a sovereign nation for "discredited", "weak" and "flimsy" reasons that didn't pan out. And don't you even try the "defied the UN" argument - by that line of reasoning, Israel is long overdue all out war.


Tut tut tut, trying to judge the Great Wars from your arm chair on the other side of the globe. It's not gonna work you know - I'm not going to get into a slanging match with you over "whose country was in the Right" because, as we all know, war is never Right.

Coincidentally, I was discussing the penultimate events in the Cold War over dinner, specifically the Russian's attack on an American naval vessel. What is your opinion here? Would you have demanded all out nuclear war in order to remove Stalin?

I'll bite, Joe. If Christians have the right to defend themselves (which I agree with, btw), please inform us exactly which categories of human beings do not have the right to defend themselves. I'm quite curious about your forthcoming answer to this.

Didn't Jesus' teachings kind of change that way of thinking for Christians? Those of you who like to like to intermingle war and killing with the Christian teachings of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, might want to re-read the New Testament...just don't be embarassed or surprised if it doesn't jibe with your thoughts on killing, self defense and vengence.
