Osama Bin Laden cites the media!

I think bin laden is glad we are in Iraq....it's tens of thousands of troops
not looking for him :confused3

Our country is quite united around the military and the job they are doing.
That does not mean we have to blindly follow our current political leaders
(on either side of the aisle).

Pretty much sums it up.

Wow, Bin Laden sure is getting a lot of ammunition from the media. President Bush really ought to shut down the U.S. news sources in the interest of national security---just like he's doing away with civil liberties and promoting torture in our national interest. It's amazing what a great job Osama did in getting Bush to destroy our country for him.

Bush is destroying our country?? Oh the drama.

My civil liberties are fine -- thank you very much.

Yes the anti-military liberal media does provide ammunition to Bid Laden. And so many of the "patriotic" left who are ready to cut and run and surrender in Iraq.

Huh, prior to reading this thread, I said to DH, "Ya think Bin Laden is in cahoots with Bush to keep public sentiment stirred up about terrorism? So that public sentiment will be in favor of the war in Iraq? (Not that the war REALLY has anything to do with terrorism). They are both wealthy oilmen, after all!"

DH said, "Nothing would surprise me."

The war on Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism?? That's certainly news to the terrorists.

Oh, the oil thing again.

Personally, I don't CARE what Bin Laden says. He should have been caught long ago and then he wouldn't be able to say anything.

That's funny. I thought the exact same thing about Bill Clinton...totally dumbfounded.

I would like to know how getting a (will leave out the word, but, everyone knows what I am referring to) from an intern can possibly be equivalent to 1) taking away people's constitutional rights 2) lying repeatedly to cover his and or his staff's tracks 3) being ok with killing countless number of innocent people to further his and his staff's pocket books?

I guess I'm dumfounded on how people are ok with mass murder for individual benefits; as I don't see any benefit of the thousands of children and innocent people in Iraq being killed (not to mention our soldiers) to myself. The only people that seem to be benefiting are people associated with Haliburton (forgive spelling error which I'm sure is there) and Dumbya Bush.

So please enlighten me with your profound wisdom of how I personally benefit from having personal freedoms infringed upon, having gas prices out of control, having schools neglected while we go in debt for a needless war, ect. You are absolutely correct. Having sex with an intern DEFINTELY is equal to the things Dumbya has done

That makes 3 of us thinking the same thing.

haven't talked with one single member of our military that wouldn't love to have him cowering in a hole just like Saddam - He is and always will be a priority.

Forgive me, I forgot that you have the definitive information on what the objectives of the military are. Perhaps you could share with us what Bush told you the last time you spoke with him because the last word I heard on the importance of Bin Laden was:

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't
care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." --- George W.
Bush, Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

Maybe you should give George a call and update him on our military objectives, he seems to be out of the loop.

Wait a minute? We've stopped looking for Bin Laden? Hhmmm....why don't you tell that to the THOUSANDS of troops that I have sent packages too and communicate with just within this past year who are busting their butts looking for him and still fighting taliban in Afghanistan. I haven't talked with one single member of our military that wouldn't love to have him cowering in a hole just like Saddam - He is and always will be a priority. Trust me Mugg Man - we haven't stopped looking for this murderer - not for one second. And if you believe that we have - you are incredibly misguided in that thought.

It's public knowledge that Bush sent fewer troops to Afganistan during that invasion than he had police garding his own sorry rear for the inaugural ball/and events that surrounded it. We know EXACTLY where his priorities are.

That's nice. I know there is an OBL thread that is centered around wire tapping, but I find it interesting that he is quoting the media in that "most Americans want the USA out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think our enemy misses the division that gets fomented on the left, nor do they miss the wire tapping "non story", etc. And did I hear that he is actually suggesting a possible truce? "Hey OBL, is that buzzing sound over your head a drone?

Well, I'm one of those Americans that wants the military out of Iraq. Are you listening, Osama?

Also, I have never seen anything more unAmerican than the attitude and behavior of the rightwing during Bush's presidency. You guys are scary.

I refuse to even answer this. I have more respect for our troops and what their missions are to try and justify them. I trust them and have faith in them and thier missions. You can choose what you'd like to believe.

And yes...I still actually support Bush and I think he's done a damn good job protecting this country along with our incredible & honorable military. I thank God every night that he is our president - and not the nutts that could have been.

Thanks for completely twisting what I said. The President said "I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." You just said that "He is and always will be a priority". So who's wrong...you or President Bush?

Here's the bottom line....give me a simple true or false to the following statement. This statement is either completely factual or is isn't, and you either agree or disagree; there's no middle ground or qualifiers;

"Under George Bush's leadership as President of the United States, since 9/11, this country has made the capture of Osama Bin Laden it's top ongoing military priority to this day and has dedicated the allocation of it's military resources to reflect that."

Oh puhleeeze...talk about drama.

I never asked you to justify the mission...mainly because you can't. I simply asked you to explain how it is you know better than Shrub as to what the mission is and my guess is you can't answer that one either.

You trust and respect the troops? Great, we have some common ground. It's that scumbag of a President that's sending them off to die in Iraq that I have a problem with.

Whatever peachgirl. You're right...I can't justify the mission. But I have heard our very BEST that have and are serving over there right now speak of their missions. Like I said - I trust them and believe in them. Say what you want about our president thats your *opinion* - I support him, our troops and their missions.

CathrynRose said:
The only "ammunition" he has is the American citizens whom arent backing our military. The ones not proud of the work being done in Iraq.

I may not like that the military is over in Iraq but I would love nothing less but OBL's ugly head on a platter. I can't believe anyone would think that he has point in his gibberash talk. He is nothing but an evil man and I just wish all of our resources were used to hunt that terrorist down and shoot him.

transparant said:

Yeah, yeah...heard it before...many, many, many times.

If I'm not mistaken the man in charge of the military is, unfortunate as it may be, George Bush, and he says this:

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't
care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." --- George W.
Bush, Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

So, as I said, unless you've had an update from George that the rest of us aren't privy to, you're wrong about the mission and priorities.

Say what you want about our president thats your *opinion*

As is yours, however the priorities of the mission aren't a matter of opinion. The priorities are what Bush says they are...one more time...

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't
care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." --- George W.
Bush, Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

Bumping to give Transparent another chance since he chose not to address this the first time. Is it a true statement or not?!?

Of course we have silly! Looks like youre sending packages to troops that dont exist. I mean, theyre not there anymore, right? We're only worried about our OIL in Iraq!!!!

Crazy.... Some of these posts disgust me.

Gee - sounds like your husband knows something! Maybe he's privy to information you'd care to share with us?

What an absurd & ludacris allegation to make.
