Orthodontist teeth spacing- any experience?

Just see this post now… I had this done probably 30 years ago from an ortho who was correcting what the first ortho didn’t take care of. He went too deep on one bottom tooth and I had to have it filled years late because of the sensitivity. I would never recommend this. I had two years of braces from Ortho#1, this “discing” and a retainer from Ortho#2 then Invisalign and now a permanent bottom retainer as an adult in 2018.
