Ornament Marker

I know some people on here have customized ornaments by writing on them with a marker, which I know is NOT a Sharpie. Does anyone remember the brand of the marker that works best?

This is the brand that was mentioned to me by a few brides. I purchased a ZIG Metallic Writter Collection pen in gold. The one I have has two points. One is 1.0mm and the other side is 1.2mm. I am going to use the 1.0mm to write on my Disney Mickey Ears Lenox Ornaments. I got this at Walmart in either the wedding section or scrapbook section. Can't remember which but I think it was the bridal section.

Thank you Linda!!

oh good, something else to add to my Walmart list that I completely forgot to look at last time I was there, lol.

I looked for these in both Michaels and AC Moore and neither of them carried them (at least not the ones by me). They are so easy to use.

I used to work at Department 56 in Downtown Disney and we used to personalize ornaments for people using paint pens from Michaels. You can definitely find them there, but I can't remember the name. I saw them the last time I was there and they were against the wall on a rack. I hope you find something!

Yes, Michaels and different craft stores carry paint pens but I did not see this particular brand there. I am sure they all work fine but I used ZIG and loved the way they wrote - the point is very fine.

I LOVE department 56!! I go there everytime I go to Disney!

I just went to Michaels and I was able to find a ZIG pen in the scrapbooking section. I can't wait to try it out! :goodvibes

You'll have to let us know how it works out. I had an extra ornament that I used to practice on. Which Michaels did you go to. I live and work near the one in Princeton.

It worked out well! I was just doing one ornament for MOH & BIL who just got engaged. It did write very nicely. I went to the one in Flemington....they had individual ones in different rainbow colors, and packs of chalk colors and metallics.

I have about 40 to make out. We are using the Lenox Mickey Ears as our favors and I will not know how many I need to make until we get the final count - which is due today by the way - and we are still missing at least 20 :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: .

I honestly don't understand what is so hard about RSVPing whether or not you'll be there...it would make brides' lives so much easier!

RSVP - got home today and NO MORE RSVP's. I am giving everyone till this weekend and then the calls start going out.

Sorry girls - now back to our personalization thread.
