Ornament help!

I always buy my kids an ornament for something they did for the first time during the past year. The only thing I can come up with this year is that both my kids rode on a zipline. But I can't find anything remotely close to a zipline ornament.
Has anyone seen one?

Also, if I can't find that, I want to get my ds a Yellow Submarine ornament like this http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/wickedcoolstuff_2083_116710201. But I would like to see it in person before buying (plus hate to pay shipping!).
Has anyone seen a Yellow Submarine ornament in the stores and which store?

Can't afford to pay alot, so has to be budget!

where did they do the zipline. was there a sovenier shop there?

did you take a picture of them there? i've made some ornaments on artscow for our cruise this year. picture on one side and the activity and date on the other. walgreens, costco, snapfish all have photo ornaments.

I wasn't there to take a picture. So I can't make a photo ornament.
DD was on vacation in Central America with her dh. DS was at camp. No shops to buy from.

I've seen Santas with parachutes (got one for dd a few years ago), so was hoping someone had seen a zipline Santa!!

I was just going to suggest Artscow, but realized someone else did. I couldnt find just the right ornaments for my family so i used family pictues we took at WDW and made a double sided ornament at Artscow for all of them. They are extremely reasonable.

Darn, I thought I could find it for you--bronners dot com has tons of unusual Christmas Ornaments but I couldn't find one for zipline. Maybe if you actually call the contact number on the site-they have so many ornaments in the store that there is no way they could put them all on the website. Or you may be able to find another one that would match her interest. They do have a different version of the yellow submarine ornament but that one is still pretty pricey at $22-check it out.

Maybe a special "son" ornament. I love Christmas ornaments and have a hard time walking away from almost any display without buying one.

Have you checked REI?

I checked there after you mentioned it. No zipline ornaments. I then spent a lot of time checking the manufacturers of the ornaments listed there, and still came up with nothing! I even checked the websites of some zipline rides, but no luck. I'll have to come up with another idea!

Or they have an option where you can make your own ornament by putting a picture and text on... could probably find a nice generic picture of someone zip-lining, and put their name and year under it.

Okay, I burst out laughing when I opened that first picture!
I had looked at CafePress, but didn't see that one.
I'm thinking about trying to make something out of clay, possibly a gingerbread man in a harness hanging somehow. If I get ambitious (and everything else done first)!

I don't know anything about ziplining but is there any sort of small gadget or tool that is used for the sport that you could buy, write the year on it and hang it as an ornament. I'm thinking of things like carabiners or whatever clips/hooks are used in the harness....
