Hello,

My family will be staying at the Orlando World Center Marriott Nov. 1-4 for a conference and I had some questions about the resort. Maybe someone could help me out?

How is the transportation to Disney? how far in advance do you have to reserve it? how much does it cost? what hours does it operate?

Any dining reccomendations? The website says that they have 10 to chose from.

Thanks in advance.:)

I know the Japanese Steakhouse (name is slipping my mind right now) at the hotel is good, but there are better ones in the area (Kobe Japansese Steakhouse 8460 Palm Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32836, 407-239-1119). Let me know what other types of restaurants you like and I will be glad to recommend some places to you that are close by.

The hotel itself is very nice, and you are minutes away from everything.

As far as the actual transportation to Disney, sorry I cant help you out on that as we've never used it.

Enjoy your stay in Orlando!

Sorry can't help with the transportation either as I had a rental car.

The restaurant, yes there are a lot at this hotel. I ate at 3 of them. The Japanese Resturant "Mikado's Japanese Steakhouse" was my favorite actually. I enjoy watching them prepare your food at table side. It was rather hot in here though with all that steam.

We had my parents anniversary dinner at "Hawk's Landing Steakhouse & Grille". This was a very nice "fancy" dinner. The food was very good.

We also ate at "Ristorante Tuscany" which is right off the lobby and we enjoyed this dinner as well.

I also ordered room service one night as well.

Try and get a room overlooking the pool where you will be able to see Epcot and a nice view of Illuminations. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view of the surrounding area.

I have some photos of the resort just click on my name, then click on my home page and scroll down to Marriott World Center folder. I'll add a couple photos of the various resturants. If there is anything else that I can help please just let me know. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your suggestion.:) I am looking for something family friendly, or in other words...I have two picky eaters with me that will probably only eat chicken strips or burgers.:upsidedow

Thank you for your suggestions :) . I think that it would be great to see them prepare the food at your table. I didn't realize that you could see EPCOT from the hotel...I'll have to see if I can get a room facing the pool. You had some great pics...Thanks again.:goodvibes
