Orlando with 3 year old

We are planning my daughter's first vacation- 4 days in Miami to visit grandparents then drive to Orlando for 4 days in the parks. Can anyone recomend a place to stay (advantages to staying on site/off site) that maybe we can use Amex miles on, and what parks we should make sure not to miss? Thanks!!
