Orlando Sun Resort on 192?

Has anyone stayed at the Orlando Sun Resort? It used to be something else before this. It's on 192 across from the Celebration area. I know it's supposed to have been rennovated but was wondering if anyone had any updated info as to how it is.

i think it was the old hyatt orlando - big hotel.

it sat there a long time - and they didn't tear down the building. they just rehab the rooms.

that say would go with it - unless someone in your party is allergic to mold.

mold will get in deserved building quickly in the South - and it can be a big enough problem to just tear done the building and start again.

I really liked this as the Hyatt Orlando, but have no info since the refurb. It's very convenient to WDW.

Am trying to book this hotel for Dec. but the months from Aug to Dec seem to be blocked. Does anyone know anything about why hotels block the months ahead. It is very frustrating when you are looking to book a hotel room ahead of ones vacation.

well sometimes conventions.

but that place is so big - it would have to be a giant convention.

Not sure about other months but I do know there's a BIG anime convention there the 2nd weekend of May. That's why I was wondering about the resort. I stayed there once when it was a Hyatt and it was really nasty and dirty. Was hoping they'd redone things and it got better. I do remember reading the owners reopened it as a hotel b/c they couldn't afford to demolish it and build something new which makes me really hesitant about things.

BOY STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM ORLANDO SUN RESORT. NOT VERY GOOD WITH THE CUSTOMER SEVICE......................ITS BEEN 3 DAYS SINCE I SENT THEM A CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL INQUIREY.......... Okay now that I have yelled my head off, does anyone else have these kind of problems?
