Orlando Smackdown: Dis vs. Uni. Ch.16 Japan Hates me, Just Hates me 7-13

Paper is done, can I get a woot! woot! :cool1::cool1:

I have to create my webpage through the university's, unviersities, website.

Oh, great now I am doing it.

It is not difficult, but time consuming and I don't really have to have it done until the end of January in time for my scheduled interview.

My last two classes are Wed, thurs this week and the instructors wnat, want,,,us to bring our laptops to show our progress.

Ok, I guess I will show my cover page cause I am way too busy with paper writing and lesson planning and teaching, to even look at it. Those that are not excellerated and for real graduating on Saturday can show us cause their interviews are next week.

They are genral ed teachers and I'm special ed, so since I'm special it is not getting done by tomorrow.

Us special ed teachers get to walk with the gen ed teachers so we don't have to wait for spring ceremonies. In five weeks I'll be officially done.

Ok, one more day to go for you and you
will
be
DONE!
I'm proud of you Mony, no sarcasm, just sincerity here, wish I could give you a big hug myself.

NEBO!!!!!

I'm so glad you and Smidgy are back and seemingly safe and sound!!

I had to jump on right quick before I play catch up because I saw you were logged in.

I hope your trip was terrific and I can't wait to hear/read all the details! ;)

WELCOME BACK!!! I cannot wait to hear about your trip. I hope it was awesome. :goodvibes

:goodvibes awwww buz your lil buzzette is sooo cute! beautiful baby. makes me even more excited for the arrival of our baby grand daughter in march! good job you two

Thanks so much Betsey! She is such a sweet baby! Congratulations to you on the upcoming baby grand daughter! :goodvibes

Monica - Congratulations!! I just finished my last week of my Masters degree program which included Oral Boards with presentation of my portfolio of 7 different major nursing projects (in front of the Dean, head of my program and two other professors - so nerve wracking!) I walk in 10 days. I'm super excited.

Buzz - what a beautiful bat baby you have!

Congratulations to you on finishing your Masters degree program! Those oral boards sound really rough.

Thanks for the bat baby well wishes!!

Buzz: My daughters wore the same pink outfit, she is adorable!

Thanks Monica and what a cool coincidence that your girls had the same outfit! Ours is a hand me down from older DD.

Buzz - Congrats ! Your daughter is beautiful !

Thanks so much! I'm a bit partial, I know, but she really is a beauty! ;)

Worried? Nah.
With your first kid you're always in a state of panic. "Oh, no! She dropped her pacifier in her crib! Quick! Boil water! Sanitize it!"

With subsequent kids it's more like, "She dropped her pacifier on the floor. Just brush it off against your pants and pop it back in."

The subsequent kids part is relevant to the second child. With the third it's more like "Oh, look the pacifier has dirt on it." Insert it promptly into baby's mouth. "It will help build up its immunity!" :rotfl:

:goodvibes I'm glad you (and your kids) got a kick out of it.

DS is still talking and laughing today about the Bat Baby picture so you most definitely have the adulation of my seven year old.

What are you trying to do to me?

Actually, I just talk a good game. In real life I beat my kids with a stick.

Frequently.

Uh huh.....yeah, we all believe that.

D'oh! I knew it was too good to last.

Well yeah, I may be female and even post partum, but even I can only take sentiment so far before I gag too! Sarcasm is way more fun! ;)

Do you kind of feel like the naughty schoolkid who just got caught when the teacher comes back into the room?

Well yes, but I won't be the only one in trouble. I took it only so far......you spelled it out loud and clear.

Oh? Were you originally thinking of selling her?

Not for a million ZDs Pkondz!! ;)

If people hadn't met you yet, I would make a case that there's never been a Nebo or Smidgy and I made you both up.

Alright you two, let's not turn this into a "Fight Club" scenario! You know what the rules of Fight Club are, right? ;)

Page 12 already - sheesh - I walk too slow. But tyvm for holding my corner. ;)

As always, looking forward to sitting back and reading your TR. :surfweb:

Can we all chip-in to get Nebo an iPad for Christmas, then we can get live updates.
OH NO!!! We can't do that - I'm quite sure Nebo can't walk and do a live report on an iPad at the same time. I see red everywhere! :rotfl:

The subsequent kids part is relevant to the second child. With the third it's more like "Oh, look the pacifier has dirt on it." Insert it promptly into baby's mouth. "It will help build up its immunity!" :rotfl:

:lmao: True!

DS is still talking and laughing today about the Bat Baby picture so you most definitely have the adulation of my seven year old.

7 years old? Yeah, that's about the upper limit for people I can amuse.

Uh huh.....yeah, we all believe that.

The first time I took the DDs camping (Ruby had to work... plus her idea of 'roughing it' means only having one jacuzzi in the chalet) I took pics of them "freezing" in the lake, being "attacked" by hornets and generally being miserable... so Ruby wouldn't feel bad about not being with us.

Well yes, but I won't be the only one in trouble. I took it only so far......you spelled it out loud and clear.

Who? Moi?

Alright you two, let's not turn this into a "Fight Club" scenario! You know what the rules of Fight Club are, right? ;)

I can't talk about it.

Jill, I'm getting the set of the Game of Throne books from DH for Christmas. I can't wait to read them!!

So, is this really a good thing? I started watching Spartacus, Blood and Sand on mhy son's Shwotime station,a nd I liked the first few ones,,,, I thought it lost beine compelling, and then the main actor not only developed leukemia during filming, he then died not much later, and I felt truly terrible for him. His BIG break in Showbiz and he ends up with Cancer. Andy, Whitfield.

Got to spend time with Nebo and Smidgy again today. Spent the morning with them at DHS. They abandoned us for some pool time. I guess I can't blame them. Last full day here before they head home tomorrow. It was nice to meet them and I hope we get to see them again in the future.

Yawol, all Thump says is also true occasionally.
But my bbelief is that the buses at CBR run mostly fine.
Mostly, FINE.

Oh yeah. Looked like Nebo's rash was just about gone.

tanks for Sharon.

Thanks! And yes, it's true. I did have to think and work at it. And Nebo doesn't think or work.

Oh Yeah?! Well that's because, um, well, Oh YEAH?
I know you are but what am I? Well, i'm glass and you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you. Hah. No, I'm terrified to do this also, you may now make alternative assemblies for later, YA?

Remember, you said it, not me.

Glad you guys had a chance to meet them, I want details in your TR later!

That's good... Although I understood it to be gone only where you would normally be able to see it. Seems to have moved... umm.... south.

Oh, and almost forgot, since they're home soon....

With Buzz's posts, Nebo is now number eight for post count on his own TR. :rotfl2:

Yes, but us late posters eventrually swing their own set uf weapons themselvbes.

I'm almost done with the second book...I am hooked!

Ok, Jill, Marie, Ponz all the other readers out there.
First, me talk, then I wanna hear from you.

I love Disaster movies/BOOKS, but it's been a while since the heyday back in the 70's.

As yoiu all well know, I loved Lucifer's Hammer, and alos liked Poseidon Adventure, Towering INferno, Swarm, another disaster movie named Slide, about just that, a mud slide entrapping a supermarket. But I need new blood, and for once , preferably not my own, so please please, give me your faves I may have overlooked, Okey Dokey?
What? So far, nothing?

Jill in CO

I wouldn't let Nebo or any of you guys down on the baby picture. It was just finding the time to actually do it! When she started her backwards hang, I knew we had struck Nebo TR picture gold. My other two never did anything like that before so I thought, hmm, it must be because she was gestating while I was reading/posting in Nebo's TR, making her zany quotient just a tiny bit higher. ;)

What? See, now, sarcastic comments like that concerning your new Mensa worthy child will only create a rift between you two, please don't let that happen. It can be difficult to keep up with someone who's Mensa compatible, member or not,,, I know,,, no, not me, I'm just sniffing around on the outside of the fence, I think,,, and they still don't really have an accurated way of measuring folks with disablilities,,,,but the Smidginator is there and beyond!

But I gots me some stuff datneeds to be done, and I mean, like now, so I'll catch you on the rebound, you hounds.

I am so glad you guys were able to spend some good quality time with Nebo and Smidgy. I've missed them and I can't wait to hear about the trip!

Hmm, gthought I was done. This still the Buzzinator?
Double D, it was a great trip, very little injury and blood, I didn't fight with anybody, Thumper not only seems humanish, but also looks lifelike himself, his younger sister is a real cutie. along with lady H, Bunny's wife. We'll get there, but they are way cool, I'd be just thrilled to have them live a couploe doors down from us no matter where it was we lived. And it's too early to get sickeningly sweet, we'll get there in a bit.

I remember standing in Ponzi's corner, applauding his behavior all in the name of family sacrifice/commitments, and generally being the Dad that all men should be.

Is it too late to rescind that sentiment?

Nope, it's never too late to rescind sentiment. Have you listened to any of Katy Perry's songs? On principle alone you would be offended. They are cherished battle hymns by WDW Yellow Jackets! :rotfl:

Okay Pkondz, you know I am only kidding. I hear Katy Perry songs and I immediately smile and think of you! ;)

Hold it! Isn't he getting up early to go to work in the morning? I'm assuming you are off for a while, right? And this is where I'm better off shutting up, right? :lmao:
But Dee Dee, she really does look beautiful, the most important thing though that is missing is the happy, smiling, contented mommy sitting there holding the brand spanking new miracle on earth!

(hey, Wallmart's had a sale on adjectives)

Yes, he is going to work and yes I'm home, but you know it took both of us to get her so...... He is a great husband and father and he gives me breaks. What can I say? He is also a keeper!

Would you believe I'm not in the picture at all? I was not photo shopped out, there's just that tease of my pjs. I have to get you to meet me somehow. If you saw a picture now you would think....."Good Lord, it's the crypt-keeper!" I'm kidding, I think the happiness and contentment are definitely there, but so are the sleep deprived eyes and general fatigue. :lmao:

Hmm, that's a good one.
Ponzi, one of us were just insulted up there, of that I have no doubt, but I'm not sure if it was you or me!

Keep reading my friend, like the magic 8 ball, it will become clear! ;)

Ok Ponzi, I DO believe I am getting a handle on which one of us it is. :sad2:

How else could I welcome you back? ;)

I'm almost done with the second book...I am hooked!

Jill in CO

This is great news Jill! I love anticipating a great read. DH and I are recording the HBO series, but I want to read the books first.

I can't wait to read the books! :thumbsup2

Oh Yeah?! Well that's because, um, well, Oh YEAH?
I know you are but what am I? Well, i'm glass and you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you. Hah. No, I'm terrified to do this also, you may now make alternative assemblies for later, YA?

You're glass? Well, I guess that makes sense...

Glass breaks.

Hmmm.... I haven't read anything lately that hasn't been a re-read of stuff that wouldn't make the cut. I'll have to think on that some more.

One of my favorite books from the last few years is "The Summons" by John Grisham! It's not a blood and guts book, but it's quite humorous! Have you read Jurasic Park? I thought the book was pretty good.

Welcome back Nebo and Smidgy. I hope that your
trip was healthy and injury free. I am the crazed
fanatic that accosted you at the Boardwalk
boat dock on Thursday Nov. 29. I am Diane from
Chicago.
From my post count you can see that I very rarely post,
but I enjoy reading trip reports and lurking on the DIS.
My trips generally center
around seeing the Christmas decorations and
taking the drawing classes at DHS. My trips are
usually relaxing and don't contain anything
exciting. But this trip was different and the
excitement started after we met you.

On the Thursday afternoon that we met you, my
family (Janet, Cathy, Sue and I) was on the
boat coming to the Boardwalk from EPCOT and
you were waiting for the boat to DHS. While
getting off of the boat, I noticed a man that
looked like Nebo talking to a woman that looked
like Smidgy, so I took a chance and mustered
up the courage to introduce myself to you. It
was a great thrill to meet both of you. It
was the highlight of my trip.
However, each of the 4 members of my family
had Nebo-esque experiences during the 2
remaining days of our trip.
The first experience we call "getting mugged by a
Chipmunk." On Friday, we had reservations at the
Garden Grille as part of our Candlelight Processional
package. We really enjoyed our dinner and the
character interactions until near the end of
the meal when Chip decided to "help" Sue with her
Coke and managed to spill all of it all over
her. The wait staff brought out a lot of
paper towels but Sue had a very wet viewing
of the Processional.
The second experience we call "getting
infected by the mouse." After a week of
walking too far, eating too much, and
sleeping too little, both Janet and I came
down with very nasty respiratory infections.
We are both still coughing and wheezing a
lot.

But the most exciting experience happened to
Cathy. we call it
"I can't go to the emergency room, I have
lunch reservations in EPCOT." Since Saturday
was our last day at the parks, in the morning
we went in separate directions and were
supposed to meet in EPCOT in Germany at 2 PM.
Cathy went to MK and was walking along Main
Street while they were filming the Christmas
parade. Somehow she tripped over a curb and
fell onto the pavement. The production
manager of the parade saw her and immediately
got helpers to assist Cathy. They asked her
if she wanted to go to the emergency room
but she thought that she only sprained her
elbow and wanted to meet us for our lunch
date. The MK staff secured a wheelchair for
her at EPCOT. Cathy called Janet to meet
her at the monorail outside EPCOT. Janet
wheeled Cathy to Germany and bought her a
scarf to use as a sling. We had our lunch,
returned to our hotel, and on Sunday we flew
home. However, the swelling in Cathy's arm
was not getting any better. On Monday I took
her to her doctor and they discovered that
she had broken her humerus bone and the it
was dislocated from the joint. On Wednesday
she had surgery to set the bone and put 2
pins in it. To top it off, when going through
our mail, we found an ad for a tee shirt
picturing a broken bone and the caption "So
you think this is Humerus". That shirt will be one of
Cathy's Christmas presents.

I love John Grisham and read all his books, Michael Crichton is another great one, so sad he passed away.
